CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 221 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by terrible dehumidifier Bought this from home depot 14 months ago (past 1 year limited warranty). I used it for about 3 months over the winter, turned off during summer then turned back on in the fall season (expecting for winter season). Now it won't work. unfortunately i cannot get any money for this. some reviews have suggested there is a freon leak, but they made this junk in such a way that it cannot be recharged. so mad, and will never buy anything from LG for a long time. HOME DEPOT, STOP SELLING THIS!!!!!! its like LG saying, buy this for a year then throw away and buy a new one. yay, we can make lots of money $$$ October 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Garbage Stopped working in 2 years. The entire LG brand is poor. November 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sounded Like a Rocket Launch in The Basement!! Had this for about 2 weeks and couldn't take it anymore. This dehumidifier would be okay one time when the compressor would kick in and the next time, it would be SO loud!! It actually woke my entire family up!! It was so loud and making horrid sounds that I really thought the thing was going to explode or burn up!! I'm not joking either. Back to the store and a full refund was given with no problems. It was working because we were getting water in the bucket, but it should never be that loud. Went to an appliance store and bought a Friedrich 50 Pint. Only spent a couple $$ more. So far so good, it is very very quiet! Hopefully now we can all get a good nights sleep! May 7, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Bought two units one year apart. Both failed one month apart. First unit was just over two years old and the other was just about 15 months. Both have the same problem - no longer pulling moisture for the air. No error codes, cleaning did not help. I have a humidistat near each unit to verify the humidity levels. Contacted LG - was given info on local service. Contacted them and was given a price for evaluation of the problem and an estimated cost for repair (they had done this before), I have several hundred $$$ invested in just the purchase. To repair is slightly less than the price I paid when they were new. I will be buying a different brand - as soon as I can budget the money for two new units. If I could give less than a 1 star rating, I would. December 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by A piece of junk We've had four of these that worked for about six months and then quit. LG and Home Depot have been pretty good about replacing them when they go bad but we've had enough of going back and forth to the store to get a new one every six months or so and we'll be shopping for a new one...not an LG...at another store to find one that operates LONG TERM with no problems. We have another one in another part of our basement that we've had for about 25 years and is STILL working fine but the LG newer models don't last more than six months (they freeze up and eventually simply stop working altogether).
