Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jakedog Poor Quality stove top
Stove top grates are too darn heavy. When food is spilled below the grates, you cant get at the food to move it away from the flame, due to the fact it is one grate, and the pan holds down the whole grate. The food gets burnt to the stove top very easily, and is a pain to keep clean. The stove top is chintzy. The grates discolor and stain easy making it look like the stove is filthy all the time. The burners are chintzy as well. I have had this for 3 years and have hated this stove from day one. My purchase price was high. I figured top price "top shelf unit". Boy was I wrong. It isnt even worth the sale price now.

We purchased this range to replace a 21yr old range that came with our home when we bought it. This range has the most features I have ever seen on a range without paying thousands. I also got it on a internet special pricing that also helped make up my mind to purchase. I love the the way the grates on top are all one height so you can slide a heavey pot instead of having to lift it. The fifth burner is very useful. The kids really thought the "blue" interior of the oven was "pretty"...it is very blue & very different! The child proof knob covers fit perfectly on the knobs. The smooth surface makes for a easy clean up or should I say wipe down. You will not be disappointed in this range.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ColdAntsPropertyMgmt Broken door just out of warranty
I'm the property manager, so I have this review second-hand. However, the tenants have been trustworthy and haven't had problems before. I bought the stove in August 2011. In January 2013 the glass in the door shattered when the door was opened. Obviously this isn't that cool for a $1000 stove in less than a year and a half.
Otherwise, seems like a good stove.

I just got off the phone with LG. The front of the storage drawer on this range has rust spots/stains on it. I tried everything to get them off with no success, so I called them for assistance. I questioned them about how stainless steel can stain and rust. She asked if I routinely cleaned it. (Anyone with kids (we have 5) and stainless products know that you will constantly be cleaning those little fingerprints). Anyway, she asked when I purchased it, what products I used to clean it and then placed me on hold and said something about sending out a technician to take a look. After being on hold for quite some time, she tells me that the wipes I occasionally used caused the rusting...rusting is cosmetic...I am over one year...I am out of luck...so sorry. What!?! (I am at 2 months over). She said the wipes are wet and moisture causes things to rust. So attention all those who cook....don't ever let your pot of water boil over...it may cause your stainless steel stove to rust. My guess is that the drawer is made of lesser quality stainless as the back control panel gets most of the spatter and cleaning and I have no issues with that. Other than the rust that LG won't take responsibility for....nah...nevermind...that in itself spoils it all. :(

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Radhika Looks great but does not perform
It looks very good. But gas pressure is too low, so it cooks too slow. Takes too long to even boil water.
The knobs are real heavy, sturdy and nicely made but they hold the turning bar with a very small cheap plastic piece .... So that breaks and you have to buy the whole knob!
It's very expensive.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Harleyman Overheats during pre-heat cycle
Oven consistently overheats by about 100 degrees during the pre-heat cycle. LG tech confirmed the issue but LG says the oven was designed to work this way. Don't put food into the oven right after the pre-heat notification alerts you. Wait until the stove has to relight to maintain the 'set' bake temperature.

I typically don't write reviews but I felt it was necessary since I used the reviews for this range to help me purchase this product. This range is a beautiful compliment to any kitchen that has other stainless steel products. The top burners are great and for those of you that need to cook something really quick, one of the burners has a superboiler which heats up your food quick. I love it! The oven has a nice look and the light in the insides is great feature that brings out the blue interior. I was NOT expecting a beautiful range for the reasonable price. The only thing that is missing from the range is that it doesn't come with a griddle.
