Customer Reviews

5.4 cu. ft. Gas Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Stainless Steel is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 163.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this range! I already left a review about this range, but I just wanted to make 2 comments. The stainless steel on the front of the range where the knobs are does stain. I have places where the brushed layer came off and it's very obvious. I'm not happy about that. Second, the top beneath the burners was very difficult to clean. I tried lots of stuff, but found something that really works. Dawn dish detergent removes and oil splashes. Clean it then dry it with a soft cloth. Next, put a teaspoon of vinegar on one side of the top and spread it around with a cloth. Then you can just buff it clean. Do the same with the other side. My range top sparkles!

Pros: Its pretty and the bluish purple inside is awesome, The burners are wonderful, Very easy to clean, and it matches all my other LG appliances! Cons: The back left corner portion inside the oven has a hot spot and often burns things just on that corner and only on the bottom rack. I've had it for 6 months and my oven already broke and I had to have an LG repairman come out to fix it. The oven portion just would turn on at all. It was under warranty though so it didn't cost anything. I did however not get to use my oven for two weeks while I waited for the service, which was a huge bummer because I love to be in the kitchen. Next time around I'll probably splurge for something a bit fancier with better cooking heat control, but for this price range it is a decent choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks and Works GREAT! Please do not rely solely on the reviews. I've used this type of LG range previously, minus the EasyClean feature. I haven't tried this yet, but as for the rest of the features, I love it. The controls are easy to use. I've used the stove top as well as the oven and I have not had any issues. Temperature setting was fine. I have not tried baking cakes yet (will come during holiday season). Installation was great too. Just sticks out a little more than my previous range, which is required, but this is not an issue at all. I plan to use the oven again soon and I will provide an update in a few months when the weather gets cold again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Door seal disintegrating DOOR SEAL DISINTEGRATING, E MAILED LG 3 TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE. YOU HAVE TO HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON TO SET TEMP FOR THE STOVE TOP. THIS TAKES LONGER THAN TURNING A DIAL. YOU HAVE TO REALLY WANT THIS TYPE OF APPLIANCE. I MISS MY OLD TURN DIAL, QUICK AND EASY TO GET TO DESIRED TEMP. LOTS OF GUESSING WITH THIS ONE. LG CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expected Better I have had this oven for 11 months. We don't use the broiler often. When my wife tried to use it recently, it would not work. I am currently in the process of having it repaired under warranty, the technician didn't know what was wrong so he ordered a new igniter and control panel. The buttons on the control panel are very difficult to press-you have to push very hard. Additionally, it takes about 20 minutes to preheat and appears to cook a lot hotter than our previous oven. It is a very good looking oven and I like the cooktop grates. Time will tell if it is a good oven. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will never buy LG again! Bought this stove 10 months ago. Have had the Mother Board replaced three times. This last time the repair guy said he was deeming it unrepairable. LG won't replace it, so I said "never mind, give me another Mother Board." Now LG won't do that, either, because they have documentation that it is not able to be fixed! So, I am left with an oven that, for example, when it is set for 400, it could actually be anywhere between 300 - 400. Very difficult to cook / bake with such an inconsistent temperature! Anytime I call LG, I get the run - around.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great wash; few poor features The buttons are really hard to push on the screen. I never thought that would be an issue with an oven but we have to put our whole body weight behind it. It sounds silly but it is true. Also the time does begin once you set it. You have to push the timer start button again for the timer to begin. We often forget and come back to the oven and have to guess how long the food has been cooking. The oven itself cooks well and the stove top is good too. I cant tell how energy efficient it is but in terms of cooking the actual, it often cooks it faster than recipes call for. I think you could find one better for a similar price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from STAY AWAY! All of the knobs for their stoves are plastic. They look like stainless steel, but are a plastic coating and the finish on them will crackle and peel off, due to the heat from the oven, coming thru the vent directly behind the knobs. Replacements are the same material and cost about $80 each to replace. This stove, without the convection has been discontinued. Wonder why. LG does not stand behind the knobs and check out all of the bad reviews on line for the knobs. Iron grates are rusting and the surface is not porcelain. It's porcelain paint.
