Customer Questions & Answers

Are you able to use this stove as a conventional oven if you want to or is it all convection only?

Asked by: candee
You can use regular baking, conv. baking or conv. roasting. I love the "proof" mode because I bake bread a lot.

I've read a lot of reviews that complain about a "clicking noise" when the oven is in use. Can someone explain this more?

Asked by: Davorne
This is probably caused by a relay controlling the burner temperature.

Does the oven display the current temperature as it preheats or only the programmed temperature?

Asked by: Lc
it shows the current temp as it warms and then plays a little tune to let you know when it reaches the programmed temp.

Customer Reviews

6.3 cu. ft. Electric Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Stainless Steel is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 625.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great oven BUT... Purchased this oven two years ago and the electronic control panel did not work consistently. I had an appliance company come and fix it and I was told by LG the they no longer make the part . LG is refunding partial payment for range and I am looking to buy a new one. I am looking at all the other ranges with that aqua lift cleaning and not feeling good about the reviews. I would love to purchase this LG again but I'm concerned about the control panels working sporadically. If LG receiveS this review I would love to hear back from them. I was told they have problems with this control panel on all their models... anyOne else have that problem !

The LG Range Oven model # LRE3083ST01 we purchased in 2015 has been nothing but trouble. In the first year the burner and main board went out. Luckily we were still under the warranty so LG sent their technician to replace them. A few weeks after the warranty expired, the glass top over the lower right burner made a pop noise and cracked and spread like a spider web. We called LG, explained the situation and told them this seems a factory part defect. They politely blamed us of dropping something on the glass which was 100% false, they simply said "we are sorry" a few times and gently tried to fade their fault. Not to waste our time, We let it go. Price of a new glass top is near $400. Couple month after the new range top was installed the new glass top cracked again. It couldn't happen at a better time but Christmas Eve 2016, with having family over, around 4 pm while food cooking, the glass top made a loud pop noise and broke again on the lower right burner. Here was my experience with LG Range and dealing with the company which took the easy road to blame the customer for their defective part. Now I have an expensive LG range-oven with another broken glass top. My recommendation: Stay away from LG Range with glass top. This glass top is not designed for what is made for.

LG are by far the worst appliances on the market, have purchased expensive range and microwave just 6 yrs ago. nothing but trouble. factory will not stand behind them like GE or other American mfrs. Had to throwout the microwave after they tried to fix it three times . service calls are exorbitant by unqualified people. Tomorrow we have to dispose of the elec. range after only three years as app. repair pros said the electronics cannot be fixed and the manufacturer wont give them the time of day to resolve problems. Stay away from anything LG!

Took a month to come in. Was told it would be here on a date and it was. I am very pleased with the unit. Works as expected. I really like the control panel. It is large and informative. My wife says that it cooks really good. The oven is large enough to put many dishes in it at the same time and with the convection fan running, everything cooks evenly. It was easy to install and set up. It has screw in and out feet to adjust high. Was really good since in my case it has counter on both sides and needed to be raised to fit evenly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We Love, Love, Love this oven. The only problem I have with this stove, has nothing to do with ... We Love, Love, Love this oven. The only problem I have with this stove, has nothing to do with the stove, just the amount of time that it took to get it. We ordered the stove in Feb 2016 and it didn't arrive until May 2016. Other than that, "I LOVE THIS STOVE!!!" We are so happy with this stove, my husband uses it more than I do. It is so easy to use and super easy to keep it clean. We haven't used the self clean cycle, yet. I'm sure after the beginning of the year, we will run it through the self clean cycle. I grew up with an electric stove, so after the past 17 years, with a gas stove, I was estatic to be back with electric. I never got used to gas, but, electric has been so very easy, it all came back to me. This is our first Smooth surface cooktop, it is just wonderful. We did exactly what the instruction manual said to do and have had no problems. It is so nice to not have to take off the heavy gas stove grates and scrub like heck, only to have done it all in vain. And electric burner coils, no different. Ths smooth surface top is soooo easy to keep clean. I love the size of the oven, 6.3 cf, can't wait to roast a turkey for Christmas. And the window is so easy to see through, it is not fogged up, still nice and clear. We love to broil and this broiler works wonderful, lg coverage area. For Christmas I bake cutout cookies, decorate them and gift them to family and friends. The past couple of years I haven't had a large enough oven, to bake my cookies in, so this year, with three racks and I can fit very large cookie sheets, I should be able to bake LOTS of cookies in no time at all. Much better than baking 6 to 8 at a time. Haha We use to get our pizza's from a take an bake, in town, but when we only had a tiny oven toaster to bake in, we ordered from the already baked pizza parlor. No more, we can fit our take and bake pizza in our nice big oven.

It looks nice and the features are amazing. However, it clicks non stop when heating up both the stove top and the oven. The convection fan stays on the entire time even with the conventional cooking! It will click off for about a count of 2-3 seconds then kicks right back on. I only bought this even because of the features and the fact you could use both the conventional and convection. Yet the fan is always running no matter what mode. Plus the clicking is constant in all matters heating up. this is a continuous click.....click....click. It doesn't stop one heat temp has been reached or kick on occasionally to maintain. Terrible product. I love to cook but now I simply avoid it as much as possible. I gave this two stars because it works, looks nice and has great features. BUT it should drive you to the looney bin to "hear" yourself cooking!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Room for Improvements This range replaced a 22 year old electric coil burner with control knobs, so it's taking a little bit of an adjustment to switch over to having to punch in numbers and hitting burner control buttons multiple times in order to bring the burner temperatures up and down versus a simple turn of a knob. very cumbersome. Also the alarm or should I say jingle to inform you that something is done in the oven is not very loud and it is at the highest setting, so I have to constantly keep an eye on the timer. I've only had this range a week, but these are the features that seem to make cooking more a chore than a pleasure. I feel like I am in front of the range constantly adjusting the burner settings. Way too many increments. Must be 20 or so. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Am I the only one??? So excited for my new kitchen appliances. We recently remodeled a house and the appliances were my finishing touches. I turned on the oven to heat up a pizza for the people that were helping us move and extremely disappointed in the heat up time. Preheating for 40 minutes and still had not reached temperature of 425. Is it just me?? Has anyone else had this problem? Am I doing something wrong? I'm a chef of 25 years so I have run my share of stoves but they all vary. HELP ME PLEASE!!!
