This dryer works well, I love that I can customize my dryer settings specifically for the contents. Love the ease of cleaning the lint filter.

I read are on previouse reviews are due to USER ERROR (they don't have the lint trap pushed down all the way) I am an appliance professional and very educated on washer dryers and LG is light years ahead of anyone else and are inovating the industry. They are the only "steam" units that use REAL STEAM! Other manufactures just spray water into a hot drum so they canot sanitize and remove oder! Only LG can do this! The Dryer only takes 30 min to dry a large load and I use the steam to sanitize and remove oder in my pillows, couch cushions, shoes, hats etc. and anything else that gets dirty but is previously unwashable can be sanitized and de-oderized. this machines work together so if you want to lessen your dry time then turn up the spin speed on your washer. If one takes the time to read the setting section of the manual and use the machines CORRECTLY, then one will get the best washer/dryer money can by! There are alot of great settings and if some wants to buy machines this nice and advanced yet use them the same way they used their old washe/dryer then dont bother, however if one can adapt, select the appropriate cycles, and use the machins how they were designes to be used, you will have fantastic results! I would recomend these units to anyone! Another 5 star LG product!

I read review on the dryer and there were lots of people that had an issue with the sensor dry setting. So I was very skeptical for that reason on whether or not I should purchase this dryer. However, I have not had a problem with that at all. There is a button that can adjust how dry you would like your clothes. I use very dry most loads and it has worked everytime. My clothes always come out dry.

I have only had this machine for about a month but I like it so far. The clothes do not come out really hot as they did in my old machine, therefore I have hope that my clothes will shrink less and last longer. I can easily dry a king sized comforter in it if I take it out and flip it around about half way through the cycle. I really like the steam option. It saved me hours of ironing my husband's long sleeve work shirts after taking them out of storage. They do not look crisp like freshly ironed but good enough for our uses. I even washed an appliqued table runner and dried on the steam option and did not have to iron it afterwards.

This is a huge one. Make sure you have enough space to fit this (account for a 1 ft clearance for vent in the back).
Does it job very good. Haven't tried the advanced functions yet.

Dryer worked well for first four months then clothes came out damp no matter what settings were used, including manual.
Before called for service it stopped working completely.
Called LG customer support and they told me to unplug and plug back in, which I had already done. Still didn't work and said they would have to schedule a technician to come out. I asked about trying the Smart Phone diagnostics and he said it would not work in this case.
Factory authorized technician came out two days later and said it needed a new door switch which had to be ordered through LG. The part would take 3 days to get to them then another day before they could schedule the install. After 3 days part didn't come and local service company said they would call us when it came and reschedule.
Called LG customer support and got a representative who said too bad, nothing he could do to help and did I want to cancel the service order. Asked to speak to a manager for other options and after rude and unprofessional explanations about how there was nothing LG could do I was put on hold (for 30 minutes until I hung up) waiting for a manager whom I never really expected to be connected to anyhow.
We did not cancel the original service order and are still waiting for the part. As of now we will be a minimum of 10 days without a dryer we just paid over $1,000 for. The worst part is that if the technician did not diagnose the problem correctly we will likely be without a dryer for another long period until they get the right part.
Since we bought the HD extended warranty I called them and got a helpful rep who explained that since we were still under factory warranty our only option was to get parts directly from LG and have the work done by authorized technician. She said all LG appliance repairs are unfortunately handled this way.
Will never buy LG appliances again. Poor quality product and worst customer support I have ever experienced.
