Went shopping for a dryer after my trusty Maytag quit after 12 years. Had some sticker shock when I looked at what was available and bought the LG dryer and matching washer on sale (10%, plus additional 12% LG promotion). It has been few weeks and I must say I am impressed.
Love the steam setting! Love the dryer capacity! I was able to put in my king comforter and get it dry without wet spots. Overall, drying is so fast and love the tune it plays when dry.
Run, don't walk, and get this dryer.
PS - it comes in a beautiful granite color, but I just could not justify another $200 for the set.

Overall I'm very pleased with this dryer. It's very quiet and includes welcome upgrades over my previous dryer like a light inside the dryer, glass door, dryer rack, and steam. The capacity is also great.
I like the look of the controls and that it plays a tune at startup and completion, though I don't like that if you use the wrinkle-care feature that tumbles the clothes after they've been dried it doesn't play a completion tone. Also the completion tone isn't really loud enough. After a month I'm still referring to the manual to figure out the many different settings on the control panel.
As far as how it dries, my clothes seem a bit damp at the Normal dryness setting but do fine at the "More dry" setting. I'm very pleased with how quiet it is when running. I've used the rack for drying tennis shoes and it works well. The drum does continue to rotate when the rack is in use. The steam features seem to work well but I wanted to use the Sanitary Steam cycle for pillows and they don't recommend use with anything containing foam.
I wasn't sure I would like having the lint filter inside the dryer, but it's easy to get to and hasn't been a problem.
When you first get the dryer you can run a diagnostic routine from the control panel to confirm everything is working. It also has a sensor to detect when the exhaust flow is blocked. Additionally if you ever have to contact LG about a problem you can actually hold the phone next to the dryer to have it send diagnostic information to LG.
The only thing I miss from my last dryer is a door that has hinges at the bottom so it forms a shelf when open. With the side-opening door I find myself dropping clothes on the floor. Also the door takes a little more force than what I would expect to close it.
Overall I'm very happy with this dryer and hope Consumer Reports is right about it being a very reliable dryer.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Chewy It's a dryer, there's not a whole lot to say about it...
Really don't know what to say here as it's a dryer, but I guess I can say that it's quiet, has a ton of features, and has a light inside it which is something our old one didn't. It plays a very pleasant melody when the cycle is complete as well.
Hooking the power cord into the back is a simple 5-10 minute job depending on if you have a 2 year old helping you like I did. lol

Needed to replace by dryer but did not have time to shop. Bought this on sale and based upon the reviews. Only one thing that I would mark off on it is that you need to pull each item out of the washer separately and put it into the dryer. If you grab handfuls, the items will come out very wrinkly. It is probably something that is more a factor of the washer and the high speed of the spin
