I bought this dryer because I was replacing a broken washer. These LG washers and dryers are so nice I went ahead and replaced both. I actually bought the dryer that was one tier above the washer I bought because I wanted the steam option and the glass door. This dryer has tons of options and even allows custom programs. I like the steam option but just don't expect miracles. The steam setting will knock the wrinkles out of a pair of dress slacks but my 100% cotton khakis still need an iron. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

We loved our red LG Steamfresh dryer so much that the buyers of our house asked to keep it. We ended up replacing it with a new LG top load HE washer, and got this dryer because it was the matching set, but we're actually really happy with it.
It dries perfectly every time, no matter what the load size, I've never had to put anything back in. It's very easy to figure out what cycle you want, and having the buttons up front instead of all the way in the back is awesome. Although I haven't used the steam function yet, having it there is great and I'm sure it will get lots of use in the future. It also has a reversible door which came in really handy for us, as not all dryers do now.The extra cost for the larger capacity and chrome trim was a great decision too.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by kaljclo Stopped working after fewer than 6 months
Let me start out by saying that this machine was never very good. Following the manual recommendations to a T, I still could not count on my clothes being clean when I opened the machine at the end of a cycle. After fewer than 6 months, however, the agitation was completely non-existent. Almost as non-existent as LG's willingness to stand by their product. My previous review was rejected for speaking of anything other than the product itself, so I'll just say that your large sum of money would be better spent elsewhere with a company who isn't notorious for malfunctioning electronics. I admin a group based on cleaning the most heavily soiled laundry you'll find in a normal household (cloth diapers) and have run across many parents with this washing machine as well...I have not met ONE who doesn't hate their machine and say that they can't get regular laundry clean, let alone their heavily soiled laundry. The ones who couldn't afford to get something else like I could have to jump through hoops and run 3 cycles and a soak just for the faint glimmer of hope that their clothes will be clean. I not only do not recommend this product but I wholeheartedly recommend against it.

Purchasing this dryer was one of the best product decisions I've ever made. Buy this and the matching washer and you'll be set!
Not only is the dryer spacious enough to throw in king-size blankets (And actually get lint and things like dog hair off), it's quiet, stable enough to use on a 2nd+ floor, and does a fantastic job of getting my clothing the right level of 'dryness' in an efficiently speedy way.
I admit that I hardly use the Steam option, but when I have it's been a handy feature. Cleaning the lint filter is a breeze, and the drum is in great shape (Not scratched up from buttons, etc. like my previous front-loader).
It's also just as intuitive to use as the matching washer line. 10/10 for me.

I have had my dryer for almost a month and so far love it. My clothes come out dry every time and as long as I use the wrinkle care feature I don't have many wrinkles. The first week of use I had to reference the manuel for settings options, but it was easy to learn. However now I have it down. I do not as of yet know if it will save on my energy, but I assume it will because my previous dryer was 25+ years old (handed down from elderly grandma). Reason I had to buy new dryer is because heating element went out in old dryer. We decided to buy a matching pair, so we also have the matching washer and love it as well.

It's been a LONG journey to getting our new LG washer and Dryer. We purchased our home with 20 yr old washer dryer made by KitchenAid ( do they even make washers/dryers anymore?!). We were in desperate need of an upgrade. I ended up going to HomeDepot and worked with a fantastic saleswoman. She suggested this model to me over the popular front loading style for quality, price and performance. She also highly recommend the LG products for their customer service. We've have the washer and dryer for 1 month now and I am LOVING how clean it gets our clothing. ** The steamfresh feature is fantastic!
I love that i can finally wash my dedicates and work blouses without fear of getting holes etc. and i can wash and dry bedding- everything gets washed and dried evenly! I barely use any detergent per load! I can't say enough about this set!

This dryer Is amazing, dries my clothes in a timely manner and they come out wrinkle free. The steam fresh cycle is great and to be able to dry a full bedding set in under an hour is fantastic. I would recommend this dryer, I love it

Huge drying capacity. Love the bells and whistles. Many settings. Quiet. Depth wise; it fits front to back within my 31 inch space, including the vent tube, but just barely. We have a small laundry room, and the door swings in. We moved the dryer about 8 inches further away from the door, and as the door swings in, it misses the front corner of the dryer by about an inch. Have had some "too damp" areas on the clothes when using the steam feature, but then I just set it on regular dry for a few minutes. The issue with the damp areas is the only complaint which is why I didn't rate it 5 stars. I was afraid folded clothes would slide off of the top of the dryer, as it's angled down slightly, but they stay right where you put them. I recommend this one!
