They come with 2 screws for keeping it on. After you slide it into locked position screw the screws in the small hole on eather side of the vent hose

How big is it? Can it fit in a trunk of a Chevy Cruz ?

Asked by: Kallie
As long as you can keep upright or slightly tilted due to compressor oil, and still close or tie off the trunk lid for safety. The unit is 27 inches tall unboxed. We took ours home tilted in a Toyota Corolla trunk with lid open and tied for safety - Good Luck !!!

8,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner and Dehumidifier Function with LCD Remote is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 577.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome! Cools my 10x14 room very well, actually too well. This thing works great, easy install, good features and i see other people complaining about draining this constantly and i dont know why; I've ran this for like a month now and i got barely any water when i drained it.(see pic). I didnt even have to drain it yet but i did because we are suppose to get some hot weather so i wanted to be ready, plus i wanted to see how much water it produced so far. Very happy with this purchase, def. recommend! LG are great products!

I actually hate reading reviews, somebody's always got something bad to say, so it's hard to really know what's the truth. But I can truthfully say this is one of the best things I've ever bought my entire life, it is well worth the money. I debated getting a bigger one, it wasn't much more money but this AC is great for one bedroom. If there is one negative, it is a little loud, kind of like a motel AC. I actually like it, the noise helps me sleep. You get use to it and it's well worth it for the trade off of being cool.

Simple to install and provides instant cool air. It blows very well and cycles down when desired temp is reached. It also comes with a remote control so you could lay in bed and control it. Very happy with it. Give it a try.

This is a difficult product to rate because it's both effective and extremely frustrating. I've had the product for two weeks now, and installation was relatively simple. Took me about 30 minutes. The main issue I had there is that I have a high window, and if the hose was even an inch shorter it would not have fit. The hose is also extremely bulky. 'Portable' is a misnomer. This behemoth is not going anywhere anytime soon. It weighs a ton, is a lot larger than expected, and with the hose system being so cumbersome, it'd be very hard to set it up in another window. I dread the day I'm going to have to move this thing again. Wheels only do so much going up stairs. It's also very, very loud. I live in a dorm, and I can hear this unit all the way down the hall with the door closed. None of my neighbors with AC units have such an unholy shrieking noise coming from their rooms. It's honestly embarrassing to turn it on, knowing everyone can hear it. It also draws a ton of electricity, which makes me nervous. I live in an old building and this thing causes the lights to flicker. But with all of that being said, it does work. It's only been two weeks, so I can't say how well it holds up in the long run, but as of right now it does an amazing job cooling down my 150 sq ft unit. I usually only have to run it for about four or five hours a day to keep the temperature nice and cool, though I doubt it'd be that efficient for people who open and close their door a lot. It pumps out a lot of cold air immediately after being turned on. It is important to check though that the window is sealed, not just around the hose. I found that hot air was seeping in between the gap between window panels. Once I fixed that, it worked a lot better and keeping things cool. I haven't had to drain it yet, though I can hear the water swish around when I turn it on. Won't be surprised if I'll need to. Part of why I wanted this unit is because my room gets super humid, and it doesn't need to be on dehumidifier mode to draw in lots of water. Overall, it's okay. It works, but I don't think I'd buy it again given how much of a hassle it is.

Takes hours to bring noticeable difference to a 200 sq ft room. And when you feel the air on high, it really is not that cold and can see why this unit will be a long battle to control room heat.

It replaced a noisy 11500 BTU window unit. The BTU difference is noticeable however it sufficiently helps cool. Hose leaks a bit a of warm air, I reused some of the left over sticky insulation and cut it to fit the inside of the plastic piece that attaches to the exhaust of the unit and pulled the hose through then used some white duct tape to seal the outside, no more leaks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent alternative to window AC My property manager requires permission and charges an installation fee for putting in a window AC. This portable AC was a perfect alternative, though slightly more expensive. The portable AC is not as loud as I thought it might be. It runs smooth and doesn't make anymore sound than a fan. Just make sure to leave space around it. I had not used one of these before, and I was surprised at how easy the window kit was. It's adjustable and fits almost any window. One thing I would change is the length of the hose. I had to prop the AC on an end table to get it set-up to my bedroom window. It would also be great if it had a thermostat that controlled the AC. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product. At least until I get my electric bill next month... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Install was easy, but once it ran for 2 hours, we had to pick up the 55 lbs. A/C and drain it (Error message E5 means, the water tank is full). After 2 hours... yet again. So, the condensation is a bear to empty, especially since its drainage plug is at the far bottom on the back of the unit and in order to get a bucket or bowl underneath it you must lift it up or it must be elevated, in order to access it and let the accumulated condensation out. Then you need to make sure the exhaust hose won't keep popping out. Terrible design. Just terrible.
