Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfied Best One I Tried
We live in a little one bedroom apartment in Orange County, CA. This was my third attempt at an air conditioner and I must say, it really has been the best one I tried. Our first one was a different model. It constantly needed to be emptied as if it was on the dehumidifier setting 24/7. I was rolling it outside to empty multiple times a day. We got tired of that, so we went with a small window unit, but again we were disappointed. I had friends that had great portable units, so I knew there were good ones out there. I can say confidently that this LG model is one such model.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kuhlease Four Years Strong
i initially bought this because it was too pricey to run central air in our small apartment. it's been with me now through 3 different moves in the 4 years i've had it and still works wonderfully. easy to use, more economical than central air, and holds up very nice over the years. it is rather heavy, so be careful hauling up and down stairs.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Red Happy , but looking for a parts list
Have been very happy until recently, the exhaust hose has a split in it and I am not able to find a part number for it or where I can find one. Can you possibly let me know how to find one? I tried one place on line and they didn't seem to be able to help me.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrated Garbage. Don't last.
I've bought 2 in the last couple years. Both stopped blowing cold air within 2 years of purchase. LG service just wanted me to pay to have them repaired. It should be labeled a disposable air conditioner. Hoping some of the other brands are better.

Apparently whatever I wrote contained inappropriate language so here it is the skinny: RUN DO NOT JUST WALK AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Brimick 72 PINTS A DAY? All over my floor!
Purchased this unit several years ago. Worked great for a little over a month but then it started leaking from the base of the unit and no alarms went off to let us know. Needless to say, it had been leaking for several days onto our bedroom floor. The carpet was soaked AND the flooring under the carpet warped from the weight of the unit sitting on it. We had to rip the carpet, padding and flooring out, which cost three times the amount of the unit.
Once we found there was a problem, we made a makeshift drain hose to put in the lower drain outlet (there was no drain hose included with the unit), set the unit on a wooden crate a foot off the floor, so the excess water could drain continuously into a bucket but the water still leaked from the bottom of the unit, so we had to put a storage tub lid under it to catch the water that didn't drain from the hose.
Luckily we purchased an extended warranty, which was honored in full. We got every penny we paid for the unit back. We were allowed to keep the unit to do with as we pleased but the damage to our carpet and sub flooring was not covered.
It cools the bedroom well and we are still using the unit with the drain hose, bucket and lid. We have to drain the bucket twice a day and use a turkey baster to remove the water that is leaking through the bottom of the unit.
It is a little loud but we can't sleep when it's quiet, so the noise is ok with us. We will continue to use it until it breaks down.
We found a newer model on Craigslist which we bought for our living and dining rooms and it hasn't started leaking (yet). It was 109 degrees with the heat index yesterday and it kept the two rooms between 76 and 80 degrees. Either LG worked out some of the bugs since we purchased the original unit or we got a lemon!
