This 115-Volt unit cools rooms up to 440 sq. ft. with a cooling capacity of 9,800 BTU. The LT101CNR Through-The-Wall Air Conditioner quickly and efficiently cools medium rooms with ease. The unit is designed with easy-to-read digital controls and a digital display for easy use. Plus, this unit features a convenient 24-hour on / off timer and is equipped with an automatic restart switch and an energy saver switch. Yes. Since this is a wall A/c unit installation, the sleeve is required, search for this at Home Depot.com

Answer: 
You can mount it on the wall by making a wood frame , but it looks like is missing somenting from the outside.
Is recommended to use the metal sleeve that way it protects the unit and help with the noise.
