Not as you might be expecting. The drying come from the heat of the dishes and inside of the DW helped out by the rinse solution which helps with runoff.

Yes and it gives you the option for "extra Dry" but that's at least another hour and a half added to your cycle time. It's not energy sufficient.

With the help of LG's Hybrid Condensing Drying system, the drying cycle circulates air from outside the dishwasher through the tub. The stainless steel tub also assists to deliver outstanding drying performance by providing higher heat retention. This system effectively dries dishes without the use of a heating element that would increase energy consumption.

This is very important. Only the front feet adjust at least and inch or more, but there is no adjustment on the rear feet. We needed shims.

Answer:
Relatively small adjustments (say, under 1/2") are straightforward with a clever design to allow adjustments to the rear "legs"
Our (old) house has uneven (sloping) floors and we had to use additional shims...a standard operating procedure in this household for anything that you want to be vertical.

You have to hard wire. It is a straightforward set up but assumes you have grounded wiring coming into the space where you are installing the machine.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 317 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Purchase Ever This LG dishwasher is a lemon. Avoid it and all subsequent models and updates like the plague. There is not a week that goes by over the last two years when we haven't had to pull it apart to clean this out. With nearly EVERY WASH there are dishes that need to be either re-washed or hand washed. It had broken down several times since we purchased it, averaging about once per month. Yes, we follow the manufacturer's recommendations regarding pre-washing and other care and maintenance of this dishwasher. We always include jet wash or something similar. This is just a terrible product. We love our LG fridge. We hate this LG dishwasher. September 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy a lg product I was looking online when I saw this dishwasher that I a looking to replace. I have had it less then two years it just does not work. Dishes even rinsed and washed before putting in come out with spots. If you do not open the door after running the dishes stay wet and if you run before you go on a trip you will return to mold on your dishes. You will regret this purchase no question. August 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Painfull to replace the filter, noisy I will pay more for a dishwasher like a MIEL where you can simply remove the filter and clean it! Home depot doesn't sell filter ! need to order it online !! August 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really quiet, and the dishes are clean. I can barely hear this running, so that was a pleasant surprise. I've only run one load so far, but I put dishes in with egg that dried, and didn't do much to clean flatware beforehand. Everything came out squeaky clean. The flexibility on how to load is great, too - tines fold down on top and bottom racks, and the top is also adjustable. This should work for just about anything I want to put in. I also really like the fact that the flatware holders are 3 separate pieces, so you can take out each piece separately if a different configuration is needed. July 5, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disapointment from LG When I first got this dishwasher, I was very pleased with the amount of room both levels had and how quiet it was compared to my first dishwasher. However, just under two years now and I have an intense high pitch sound coming from it. Did everything I could to figure where it was coming from, even tried cleaning it with a special dishwasher cleaner. Helped a little but still there. The newest issue we have is we've been noticing brown stains on some of the dishes and all over the inside of the dishwasher door. Based off what we can tell its rust coming from somewhere inside. Other research I've done says it's the actual door rusting which is odd since this is supposed to be stainless steel. What bothers me on top of these issues and spending so much money was that when I bought it, the reviews where very high, no issues. You do the same search today for this model and now you get 1 to 2 stars. What makes me mad is that a brand name manufacture like LG puts out such a poor product. February 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Dishwasher I was in the market for a dishwasher and had no idea what to buy. My sister had purchased this model a year ago and really liked it. I've only had it installed a couple weeks but so far I love it. It's so quite that I don't realize it's actually running. June 21, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the money My fiancee and i bought this. It started out SUPER quiet, however, within a month, the motor became very noisy, so I had to have it replaced. It was quiet for about another week, then started getting louder again. A few months later, an intermittent high pitched whine started. I decided to check the noise rating, and the specs say 48 decibels. However, mine runs at about 70. It also doesn't seem to dry anything very well at all. I'll have service out again to replace it, but after that, i'm not going to be taking it out again. Too much of a pain. We should have bought a whirlpool. March 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by under evaluation It is too soon to say anything about long term reliability. So far the install was wo/ any major problems. It was installed a week ago and the people who did the install did an excellent/professional job. The unit works fine. May 7, 2016
