When the delivery guys saw that our laundry room was on the second floor, they highly recommended against using pedestals. They said the washer would really (!) rock on the pedestal and make a lot of noise, so I rejected them. I lost the storage drawers, but really the large LG front loaders are big enough without the pedestals. Save the $600.

There are two issues with this product. First, it is not tall enough to allow for storage of my commonly used cleaning products. I have to lay the containers on their sides, risking spillage.
Second (and this is really my bad, not an issue with the product) I did not follow the "measure twice, cut once" philosophy with this item. It significantly raises up the washer/dryer (of course) but doing so meant that it does not fit under my cabinets by 1/2"... I now have to take down the cabinet and raise it up so it will fit. If you consider this, be sure to measure carefully!

These pedestals do not fit any size of detergent bottles. It is maddening! Now I have nowhere to put my detergent. Who designs pedestals meant to store laundry supplies and makes them too small to fit laundry supplies?

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrClean Good Product but Shipped with dents in all four corners
The product, a pedestal made by LG to raise our LG front loading washing machine to make it easier to load dry clothing and remove damp clothing without straining one's lower back was installed properly and works great . I have had no problems with vibration, shaking or the like with the pedestal securely attached to the washing machine. I trust it will remain that way without having to tighten screws and bolts on a regular basis that loosen or "back out" from the normal vibration. HOWEVER, when the pedestal was installed, the contractor unpackaged it from cardboard box in our garage and then carried it into our basement. Somewhere between the factory and our basement the pedestal was damaged and dented on all four corners , not big dents, but noticeable if one got down on hands and knees and inspected it carefully. I failed to perform that intimate inspection on my hands and knees. One of the installers was kind enough to point out the dents to me! I went ahead and accepted delivery as we had large backloads of laundry and needed to get the washer moving again and by that time the pedestal was securely attached. In hindsight I would have returned the $170 pedestal and waited for its replacement. Live and learn.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mary meh. You can probably do better
If you have no other storage solution or way to raise your laundry appliances then this might be ok for you. I purchased these pedestals when I purchased our new washer and dryer. I love the appliances themselves. However, before you buy these pedestals, collect whichever items you are planning on storing them and test them in the store. You will find that many standard sized bottles of laundry detergent, fabric softner, stain removers, bleaches, etc do not fit into the pedestal and allow it to close. 2 inches more and these would have been perfect. Because of this "flaw" they are almost useless.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Go Bruins Nice Roomy Pedestal for the Mega Washer
We bought this with the WM9000 and we're happy with our decision. The pedestal matches the color of the washer perfectly and has quite a bit of storage room. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
