what is the difference between sleeves axsva1 and axsva4 for lg threw the wall ac units?

Asked by: Anonymous
It appears from the descriptions that the va1 does not include the stamped aluminum grill, but the va4 does. If you are going to purchase the grill anyway, the va4 seems to be the better deal since it is bundled with the sleeve.

Wall Case for LG Built-In Air Conditioner is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG ac/sleeve I think it's a great product. The AC unit for the window application is not the same as the units that work with the sleeve. I saw this sleeve and thought maybe that's the way to go. It is way better than trying to install a window unit through a wall. it is made for a through the wall application and works like a charm. The only problem I had was the instruction sheet that came with the sleeve had a wrong measurement for the height on the cutout opening. I followed the instructions that came with the ac unit and the cutout dimensions were correct on both width and height.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wall Sleeve for Through-the-Wall Air Conditioners My Experience: 1st time installation after reviewing internet articles Type: This was a new installation - took me a day to cut the opening, frame the opening, install the sleeve, and seal it up. Status: Installed for a couple of days no problems Pros: The Product is of good quality and installation was straight forward. There are end covers (metal sheets) that cover the openings and work well as a barrier to the outside until you are ready to insert your air conditioner. Cons: There are minimal instructions. You can find general instructions on the internet; so, you have to be a little bit savy to adapt depending on your situation. What to watch out for: The dimensions for the wall cut-out (opening) are wrong in the literature that comes with the sleeve. Height given is too tall. Make sure you measure the sleeve. Overall: I would have rated 5 stars for this product if the wall opening dimensions in the literature would have been correct.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit a/c its made for Overall this product seems fine and it actually arrived earlier than expected. I am disappointed in the way LG disigned it to fit. When you put the a/c into it, the a/c unit will stick out into your room about 6 inches. The way the a/c is designed, it should only protrude about 2", and it has a ring there for the frame to sit in. I am returning because it just makes no sense to design it that way.
