No leakage or breakage upon arrival. I like the enclosed design w/ push handle. It's noisier than I wish but more quite than other non-inverter generators. The manual is quite cryptic and incomplete for simple things like telling you what have been done and what else you have to do -- putting oil in, ground the machine, etc. The shipped items are not described. I still don't know how to use the remote control. There's no troubleshooting pg... This generator does not have an outlet with "4 openings" for which most transfer switch power cord required? So far I've only let it run twice in 2 wks.

i bought this generator for my travel trailer, i was amazed when i bought it, how quiet and fast it starts up. i ran it for 36 hrs straight while i was at the beach. it runs both my air conditioners with spare power. honda is to expensive and this is a nice way to go at half the cost. i like the remote start although it does not talk about how to use the remote start in the manual. i figured it out on my own. all you do is make sure the switch for the remote start is set to on on the generator and then press the the grey start key on the remote twice and hold on the second push till it starts and then to turn off just push the blue lock button. and you dont need a key in the generator to use that either. my friends and neighbors were suprised at how quiet the generator is.

I bought this generator because the specs said it ran @ 59 decibels . It runs at 80. and idles at 73. The remote start doesn't work . The 20 amp breaker trips way to easy. my 1978 Colman 4k had more power with the same noise.
I also paid the extra 100.00 for the 59 db over the 68db still runs at 80db

Have run generator about fifty hours. Little stumble when rv a/c unit turns on and generator is on econo mode. Does not start in cold weather. E-mailed support and no response in over two weeks. Very disapointed with that. All in all so far pleased with generator, just not their customer support.

Thanks to Home Depot, I was able to return the defective unit.

I ordered the generator online, we received it in a week from the time we ordered it. Put in the oil and gas.Ran for 3 seconds and cut off. Never restarted afterwards. Called the information number talked to 3 people. And no one could help me. The last person i spoke with told me to just return the product. You get what you pay for.

I recently purchased this unit, and so far, I have had 0 problem with it! I love the remote start feature because it allows me to turn it on without being right next to it. I live in California, so finding a unit that was CA approved was a big plus also. If you want an inverter with all the bells and whistles, this is the one you want to get!

Please check to see if there is a Warrenty Center near you before purchasing, if I had this might have gone differently. I purchased this machine in April, and did not get a chance to use it until August and then only 3 nights. In September (because hunting season was now open) it was used of and on for a whole week and then started running rough. Since there is no warrenty center near I took it to my favorite local small engin repairman. He quite quickly dicovered that the automatic choke had gone out on the generator. I Called Lifan support and they said "Oh that is a KNOWN ISSUE with the 5600's and we will send you another right away" 2 weeks and a number of phone calls later I got the part. To have gotten Authorized Warrenty service I would have had to have it shipped to somewhere in Texas, where they would have repaired it and then shipped it back. Because It was in the middle of hunting season and I could not afford to have my generator gone for any longer period of time I had to pay my engine repairman to do it for me and of course that means I am out of pocket the cost. (not to mention I probably have now voided any other warrenty I had on it. If I hadn't needed it badly I would have returned it to Home Depot
