I like the 1500 -watt Energy Storm for several reasons : the voltmeter. the fact that the engine is 4 cycle, easy starting, 115vac output & 12vdc output, good power, fairly quiet. Dealing with HOME DEPOT made my purchase a pleasure, their sales people went the extra mile. Thanks HOME DEPOT. George J. Snyder Horsham,, Pa.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LIFAN 1500 Portable Generator I am really impressed how easy it was to start; one pull and it was running. It is quiet when it is not under load. When you plug in a load the noise increases but not to bad. I am going to use it when it gets really cold to heat my diesel engine before I start it. .I very pleased with my purchase and I would recommend buying anything from Home Depot online.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid overall and nice for the price Besides the fact that the instructions are horrendous and it arrived with a bent leg, this is a nice little generator. It runs well and does the job, relatively quiet (measured at 83 decibels with no load against the 63 its listed as). Its small and well built, easily portable and very functional. The biggest downside I have seen is that the choke is labeled backwards and the instructions essentially tell you the opposite of what you should do. Also, the valve for where the fuel is fed into the engine is not at the bottom of the tank, so you almost need 3/4 fill to get this thing going. Otherwise, once you figure out its oddities, it starts easy and runs very nicely.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Rope dislodge from the starter pulley the first pull. Easy fix to repair once I figured out how the rope dislodged from the starter pulley. It is relatively quiet, runs good with what I want to operate (pitching machine).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from delivered quickly, starts easily and endurance is yet to be determined. The unit was delivered quickly and I started using it at our cabin to power battery chargers, run a tv, tuner and a couple of lights. It starts easily ( spring and summer temps so far ) and runs smoothly however, it is not as quiet as I originally thought it might be.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from There are. Quality issues We ordered the generator twice. The first one came with broken legs. This was returned and the next one came with bent legs. We kept this one because we didn't want to see what would ship next. Quality control needs to be looked at by the company

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very good little generator I have not load tested this yet but have assembled and ran it. 50 pounds is fairly heavy - I am a fairly large guy but my wife had a hard time moving it. Assemble itself was very easy but the diagrams in the manual did not alway match up with the equipment. Getting it started the first time was a huge pain (took me over 20 minutes of yanking the cord and adjusting throttle and choke), but everytime after that first start has been very easy. When running it is definately not quiet, but running it on the back porch my wife and I could just barely hear it inside the kitchen. When not running under a load the generator sips gas- filled tank about half way for the first run, ran it for over 3 hours to break it in and I could hardly tell that the fuel level was any lower. When running you need to manually adjust the throttle to keep it running smooth- may be a pain if running something like a refridgerator that is not a constant pull. Alll in all I am resonable pleased having this generator as an emergency backup, and may very upgrade my rating once I have experience running this under a load.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Generator runs well but is nowhere close to its rated power The unit does what I want it to for the most part but It does not come even close to its rated power. While listed at 1500/1200 watts I can only manage ~850 out of it. I got it to run my Freezer and a Windows air conditioner. It will only run one due to the limited power. If I would have know about the lower power I would have bought a different generator.
