The Atomic signal can sometimes take 3-5 days to connect, and in some rare situations as much as a week. Atmospheric conditions such as overcast/stormy weather or electro-magnetic interference will impede the signal from connecting from time to time. The further distance from the Atomic Clock in Ft. Collins, CO there is, the more time it can take if such conditions are present.
We suggest placing the unit in a window that is facing towards Colorado for up to 5 days. Please make sure that the window is a standard pane glass window and not a UV protected or thermal pane window as these may possibly block the signal. Please make sure that you are using standard alkaline batteries with an expiration date of 7 years in advance or testing 1.48 on a voltmeter.
