projection alarm clock

I just received a La Crosse Technology projection alarm clock. When I project the time on the ceiling, the minutes are not displayed correctly. I tried resetting the clock with no success. The model number is: W85923. What am I doing wrong?
Asked by: Michelle
try this restart: Insert the 4.5 volt AC power adapter into the designated area on the back of the Projection Alarm Clock. • Insert the power adapter plug into a wall outlet for a continuous backlight and projection. • The Projection Alarm Clock will light up and show indoor temperature and time (12:00). STEP 2: (battery-backup operation for power outages) • Remove battery cover from Projection Alarm Clock, slide tab down and pull out to remove the cover. • Insert 2 NEW AAA batteries (not included) into the back of the Projection Alarm Clock. Observe the correct polarity (see marking inside the battery compartment). • Note: Backlight and projection will not display constantly when operating on battery power. They will appear for 3 seconds when the SNOOZE/LIGHT button is pressed.

5 in. Color Projection Alarm Clock is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Projection Alarm Clock Easy to setup and very clear and helpful at night. Does its job very well

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smitty I returned this item. I was disappointed with features compared to older unit it replaced. Although it was well made, it had several unexceptable design flaws. The ceiling projector could not be left on when the display backlight was turned off and the unit would periodically beep while charing an iPhone (both of these are not acceptable at night). Also, the inside temperature display was not the primary display and it would be better if toggling of the temp/time projection image would change slower and fade from one to the other. (not very soothing to notice it changing so quickly and abruptly while trying to go to sleeep).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work below 30 degrees F I purchased this product 3 months ago to replace an older La crosse model with the same features. I placed the clock and temp sensor in exactly the same location as the old model. When the temp drops below 30 degrees F the temp is reported as --, when the temp rises above 30 degrees F it works again. La crosse will not replace this DEFECTIVE product. Buyer BEWARE.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crummy instructions, difficult to adjust, WWV doesn't work. The instructions that come with the unit are difficult to read because of the small size of the print. The unit is difficult to set up with the buttons provided. Once set up and adjusted it works nicely for a nighttime clock. To difficult to read in the daytime. Cannot see laser in the daytime. Does not receive WWV signal at all.
