Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cpns72 tough weed block fabric
I put 2 layers of weed block fabric among my Japanese maple tree bed area to use staples to hammer thru 2 layers of weed black fabrics. Still strong & tough to hammer staples thru that weed block fabric. No damage from staples to go thru.
They still stay there as is for more than one month with decomposed granite filled up my Japanese maple tree bed area. Look nice with completely project. No weed so far for more than one month.

I really like this product. Used it before. Allows moisture to penetrate with causing mold or orders. Does not allow weeds to form on surface or underneath material. Great price for the quality of the material. Thanks Home Depot for carrying this product.

This is the good stuff. Don't fall for the cheaper black colored ones.

within 3 weeks of placing lime rock on the liner, grass was growing back through. So much for "commercial" quality. Disappointed

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Good, but it's only been on ground a month.
I had to move my slate tiles. Then pull weeds and grass. Rake soil fairly even. Tamp down soil with steel tamper. I laid down Typar fabric with slates on top. So far, no rips in fabric and no weeds poking through. But fabric has only been on ground a month, so I do not know how fabric will last over a long cold winter.
Very important to tamp ( pound ) soil compactly to discourage weed and grass growth. If I did it now, I would apply weed killer after I rake soil smooth, and then reapply weed killer after I compacted soil with steel tamper.
Next spring, I have to readjust some uneven slate and fill in gaps between slates with red rubber mulch.
I guess in about about a year I'll see how fabric holds up. So far, seems to be a quality product.
