i live in Georgia and have a fairly large shed where i keep a beer frig, fishing equipment, tackle and tools. The temp is in the nineties all of June, July and August and the shed is really hot inside. i have a large 6 bulb florescent hung which makes it impossible to hang a ceiling fan. i installed this fan on one end of the shed and it does a great job of cooling and circulating air while i'm in there. it's as quiet as a mouse, in-fact i can't hear it even when it's running on high. it's perfect for my application. The quality and design is fantastic and its mounting system is perfect... took me less than two minutes to mount.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Bought 2...one is flawless, the other is garbage.
I bought 2 of these and waited several days to arrive as they were shipped via third party item not sold by HD but an affiliate so don't be in a hurry.
As for the wall mounted fans and my review, 1 works flawlessly and is very quiet with very little noise or vibration......the other is a NOISY, VIBRATING PIECE OF JUNK that makes the house vibrate even on low so much our guests always ask what is that helicopter sound? very annoying. The unit puts together in less than 2 mins and mounting to the wall takes another 1-2 mins.......then you turn them on.....dial switch only goes oneway..High to med to low.....you cannot turn the dial in reverse so you have to rotate a full 360 to use the control. The fan blade assembly in this unit is not balanced so the blade unit wobbles slightly and the unit will not occilate properly via the enclosed instructions....yes it occilates you just cannot adjust the setting like it indicates. I guess 1 working unit out of 2 is the new online expectation these days, and with the turn around on shipping and trying to get it replaced I decided it was easier to just live with the bad unit.
I went with the 12" to save on space....more than enough power and airflow, just not up to par technically.

Needed a smaller wall mount fan for master bedroom closet. This one was very easy to install.
It gives a good strong breeze to a room that can get pretty warm at times due to location on 2 outside walls. As a bonus when the door to the closet is open, it sends a nice breeze across the master bath all the way to the bedroom.
We are VERY pleased with this purchase.

It does not have enough air flow for what we wanted to do.

This fan was easy to assemble and easy to mount on my wall. It's a space saver too, in that it don't take up floor space. The 3 speeds is a great feature on this fan. A really good buy!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CMcC151 Does the job, cheaply made
This fan is perfect for my laundry room. However, it is very cheaply made. I've been buying Lasko fans for about 15 years and this is actually my second one of these. I bought the other one about 13 years ago which had a metal grille and was made a lot better than this current version. The fan gets the job done, but I am concerned about how long it will last before one of the cheap plastic parts gets brittle and cracks. The pull-cord could be longer with the ability to trim the excess length off and the motor should be able to pivot lower than it does. Other than that, I'm happy with the purchase.
