Product Overview

The Lasko 12 in. Oscillating Wall-Mount Fan will get your air circulating without taking up useful space. A wall-mount design keeps the fan conveniently out of the way, while the fan's 3-way pull cord makes high-up installations practical. The fan features both full-room oscillation and directional cooling for ideal circulation. A 3-speed whisper-quiet operation gives you precise airflow levels without excessive noise disrupting your daily life.

Customer Questions & Answers

does this fan tilt up and down too?

I know this fan oscillates side to side if you set it to do so, but can you also manually "tilt" it up and down at all in order to change the height of the air plume? If so, how much --approximately what total angle--- does it tilt up/down? Thanks.

There is not a separate on/off vs speed selection. It is one rotating knob that sets to off/high/med/low (you have to move through the sequence to get the setting you want). Although the vertical angle can be adjusted, it has a very stiff plastic ratchet that holds it in place. It makes a loud snap sound each time you move it (with two hands while holding onto the motor) - which makes you wonder if you just broke the plastic housing. I would recommend setting the angle and then leaving it there - I would expect continuous re-positioning would eventually break the adjuster. No problem with activating/stopping the oscillation motion repeatedly. Definitely not whisper quiet, but I thought the operating noise was reasonable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Junk The fan is cheaply made, light weight plastic. But worse is that although it oscillates, the vertical movement is almost impossible to change. I had to partially take it apart to get the angle I needed. When I opened it up, the plastic wheel inside was broken. I live over 40 miles from nearest Home Depot so I just set it where I needed it and put it back together. I'll live with it but won't recommend to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well - Customer may have to add blade washer The fan works well. It came partially disassembled. The plastic blade and plastic blade guard had to be installed. When I first assembled the blade, it vibrated causing the fan to be noisy. Upon checking, I found that although the blade nut was screwed on tight, the fan blade was still loose on the motor shaft. I took the blade back off and found a flat rubber washer to put between the blade and the nut that holds it on. It now works perfectly. I contacted Lasco customer service by email about the issue but received only the computer-generated response. The fan moves a lot of air, but the range between the high and low speeds is not as much as I had expected. The low speed still has more wind noise than I would like. However, I still consider it a good fan for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fan Does the Job I installed this fan on the ground level of a HHI beach house to move the air in an non AC recreation room near the pool. I especially like the travel radius that you can adjust so the fan travels either center or more left or right. It also moves the air at a fairly good distance from the fan 15-20 feet. I intend to install one on my covered patio pillars to keep more air moving along with the ceiling fan. It has a small bracket that permits you to remove it quickly and store it away from the weather. I don't know how long it will last, time will tell. So far so good....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect fan! i live in Georgia and have a fairly large shed where i keep a beer frig, fishing equipment, tackle and tools. The temp is in the nineties all of June, July and August and the shed is really hot inside. i have a large 6 bulb florescent hung which makes it impossible to hang a ceiling fan. i installed this fan on one end of the shed and it does a great job of cooling and circulating air while i'm in there. it's as quiet as a mouse, in-fact i can't hear it even when it's running on high. it's perfect for my application. The quality and design is fantastic and its mounting system is perfect... took me less than two minutes to mount.
