What is the CFM of this fan ?
Asked by: majic
Fairly low, the stock blade pitch is very shallow so it doesn't move a ton of air as is. I don't have any way to estimate it but it's far less than you'd expect from a 16" fan. I ended up modifying the blade pitch myself so that it spins slower but moves a lot more air.

What's the power draw? Amps.

Nobody wants to give this information out. If it drew 15 amps, would you buy it?
Asked by: Rexer
It's been a while since my kill-a-watt died, but I believe I measured it at about 35-40W on high, so somewhere around 0.35-0.4 amperes in theory.

16 in. Oscillating Stand Fan in Black is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap product Basically it functions. Made of all plastic. The adjustable height is a nice option however it does not tighten to remain at the height you set it. The blade covers are plastic with plastic clips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Fans I would have liked white fans, but black was all that was in stock. I have no children or pets at this time so I left the front guard off of the fans and they give off twice as much air. They are quiet and the little bit of extension helps to get the breeze up off of the floor. I have had them for one week now and so far all is well. However, they are made of all plastic, so I have no idea how long they will last, I will just have to treat them with special care.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ran non-stop for over 2 years! Quiet. Can't beat this fan for value and durability. Our bedroom is super-stuffy, and we HAD to have a fan before finally wiring one into the vaulted ceiling. At first, we just turned on our Lasko fan at the foot of the bed at night, but eventually just left it to run all day for the comfort of our pets. (...which I now realize may have been a fire hazard, but hey: all the better for the fan review since there never was one...) We had the fan for maybe 3-4 years, but let it run non-stop for probably about 2. I don't think it ever even over-heated. Keeping it dust-free definitely helps on that. All the maintenance I ever did was to vacuum the dust off of it. It cleans very easily; The plastic mesh cover pops off pretty easily so you can wipe the interior blades down, as well as vacuum or rinse the cover. This all-plastic fan is SUPER lightweight, and very easy to move around or carry into other rooms. It would be good for an elderly parent, come to think of it, because it is easy for even someone feeble to move around. My only one critique or potential drawback is that it is not a very powerful fan. If you need a blast of refreshing air, or have a very large space to cool, this isn't going to do it. If you just need some gentle circulation, though, or a subtle soft breeze, this fan is very quiet, especially if on just the lowest speed. Great for a bedroom, a workspace full of papers(!), or a small lobby area. I love this fan. Can't get over the fact that a cheap fan ran trouble-free for 2+ years nonstop.
