Fan has limited features for the price. It's just a basic box fan, that's it. The fan itself is very loud and noisy. I have to keep it on the lowest setting if I use this at night while sleeping. Also, I'm severely disappointed in the stability of the fan. It has a tendency to tip over when brushed against. It is not the most stable unit I have ever owned. It seems top heavy thus contributing to its tendency to tip over. This would be an important consideration if you have little kids.. Overall construction is very good and it seems well made. I have had good luck with Lasko products in the past. hope to get plenty of service out of this unit. I'll recommend the unit with reservations due to how loud it is at higher speeds.

This is an inexpensive box fan, but it works great as we have no A/C. We stack two of them in the window w/o the legs and secure them with a bungee. We need one fan per 100 sq ft on hot California days. I like the larger selector knob. It is only a couple of watts more than the original. If you like box fans, get the WEATHER SHIELD PREMIUM PLUS. But remember, this is a machine and you should not drop it. As usual, The Home Depot ships quickly for only a few dollars, or free.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Maiku Great window fan.
This fan is very good it's far more durable and well built then the lower end Lasko fans(which are still great by the way). It's a much more solid fan and just feels like it's much higher quality and all for only a little bit more money then the baseline fan. It moves much more air through it and is actually not all that loud even on it's highest setting(it's not whisper quiet but it's surprisingly quiet for how much air it moves)
The only real problem I had is that the fan is a bit thicker then the lower end models which is likely the reason this one is so solid. But because of this it doesn't fit my window as well as it could but it's still not that much of a problem as windows vary from place to place.
Overall a very solid window fan and a great value for only a little more compared to the baseline model.

Unit arrived damaged. Was not evident until I turned it on. The front grill was warped inwards and rubbing against the inner hub of the fan blade. Rubs so much the motor hardly turns. Upon further inspection it appears the box was laid flat at the warehouse with something heavy placed on top of the box which caused this condition. Too bad because otherwise the fan appears well constructed for the money. Returning the item for a replacement.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BusyBee Excellent value for the money!
This fan moves a lot of air and the three speeds are handy also. It is fairly well made and with care should work through a long hot summer (at least). It is light and easy to move around and I added 2 attachments and have it hanging from my shop ceiling and remove it when I am through working there so it won't get dirty. For the price it is a good buy.

Overall seems like a good fan. It cools the house well. I do have to echo the other comments about the noise the cover makes when it rubs on the ban blades. Mine wasn't as bad as some of the other comments but it does happen. It wasn't bad enough to return it but the maker should correct the issue.

Compact lightweight floor and window fan. Low setting is just a tad more than I would want but at this price it's still a good value.
