CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 62 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan The fan works great and really cools the space on the lowest setting. I am really hot natured and wanted something to supplement the a/c and this was perfect. Looks nice and takes very little space. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best fan around! Having owned one of this identical fan for several years (and still running strong), we decided to add a couple more to our home. After a quick search, we were amazed that Home Depot still carried them since this is the store we originally purchased our first one from. This fan has the best range of settings and power output. On high / medium, it will help you sleep like a baby through the night. The buttons light up if needed, there's a built in nightlight also, and the remote is very handy. For the price, this is the only fan model we care to own. May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cools great The only thing is I would have loved to have it quiet but cools great March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than good. This fan is powerful. The added bonus for me is that it's louder than other fans but in a good way. The noise is not the sound of the motor or the moving blades. It's the noise of the moving air. It's not an annoying motor whine but moving air which creates a great white noise which blocks out sound which is perfect for sleeping. On low it moves as much air as most other fans move on high and the sound level is about the same but less annoying. On high this fan will blow you away with the amount of air it moves. I use the middle setting and it's great. It rotates about 90 degrees which is plenty in most settings especially since it will move air around the room anyway with it's power. Putting it together was a breeze and only took a few minutes. All you have to do is snap the base together and insert about 8 screws. February 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good fan, puts out a LOT of air! I own both the Lasko 40" Hybrid and a Honeywell Quietset vertical fans. I like them both for different reasons. The Lasko is noisier, but solely because it is moving more wind. I don't find the noise a problem on high, and on low it shouldn't disturb your sleep. The Lasko has less features than the Honwywell (3 speeds vs 7, no timer or thermostat control), but they both have remotes - and the Lasko has the features I desire. I use the Lasko in a larger room and the Honeywell in my study. I have had both for ~ month and used them heavily and no "strange" sounds or problems have emerged. I think the Lasko Hybrid is an excellent choice if you want something that will put out a stronger breeze than most any other vertical fan. July 31, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Purchase We had a less powerful Lasko that was very quite and worked well in our theater room to keep the breeze blowing. We took it outside on our deck and you could barely feel it. This hybrid fan, however, offers a breeze you can feel across the deck. Also, the noise of the fan is not the choppy sound you would get from an open fan, but more of a lower level hum that we do not find distracting. It's overkill for a bedroom, and perfect for larger or open spaces while still providing a great form factor. Assembly note: The base only fits one way, so having one screw go in is not a sign of success. Read the directions and you'll get it right the first time. August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This Fan Works Great! The Lasko 40 In. Hybrid Fan is an excellent product. I rarely use air conditioning as I prefer the breeze of a fan. Previous research made me the owner of a Lasko 42 In. Windcurve and a Lasko High Velocity Blower tower fan. I decided that I needed something for the living room that was somewhere in between the wind power of my other fans. My research led me to the 40 In. Hybrid Fan. I love that it has quite a bit of wind power without being overwhelming. On it's two higher settings it may be a bit loud for conversation or tv but for me the low setting is enough anyway. I highly recommend this product. July 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lasko 40" hybrid fan Good looking fan, but it has 2 flaws. First the remote has a very narrow infra-red beam, I have to wave the remote in the direction of the fan, while waving it back and forth. It's difficult to make changes to functions. Secondly, the low speed setting blows more than any tower fan I've owned, it will chill you and be uncomfortable in a 72 degree room. The high speed is great for flying kites! It would be a great fan for the desert. October 8, 2015
