Hello Deacon, One of the features is an ionizer which is an air filter. Do not take the tower apart to clean, simply use a vacuum to clean, it reflects this in the manual. Depending on if you have a lot of dust, mold etc. you will know how often you need to clean it.

Answer:
In the true sense of being an air purifier, that is not stated in any of the information that comes with the fan. It is a fresh air ionizer which is supposed to collect dust or impurities in the air. What it does with them I have no idea. I have a pure air filter system for my ac unit but it requires a uv bulb to purify the air. Hope this helps t

Answer:
The Fan must be ON for the ionizer to be functional. When the ionizer is turned on it will assist in the purification of the room air.

Not sure where you saw the pic of 360 spin. If you were to look at a clock it oscillates at 10 am and 2 pm and does cover a lot of area.

Take it back to Home Depot and explain the problem. They can get you a new one or give you your money back. But check the batteries first to make sure they are new.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice fan. I like this fan. It's quiet, has oscillating option and a remote control when you're too lazy to get up and adjust it. I have four. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan The tower fan move a lot of air quietly. We set it near the corner of the room and turn on 'rotate' and it does its job very well. Our son took the first one we had because he liked it so well. This one is our second. Would orddr another one without hesitation. September 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Purchased fan for daughter's dorm/apt, Not only does it circulate the air very well but it took the humidity out of the room and made it much cooler. September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just Chilling! Excellent Fan, that gets the job done, during those Dogs Days of Summer! August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by worrk great Work great! Better than a fan Keeps the room cool September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No remote control Make sure you have the remote to go with it because mines was missing September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I like it! Bought More After First Order! Tall, puts out a nice amount of air, pretty quiet. Bought 5 at first for different areas around the church...liked them so much, I bought 2 more! August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Blows Air like a Hurricane Easy to assemble (just screw the base to the body), light and portable, and boy, does it blow air! Low setting is adequate for my purposes, and so is the oscillate feature. There's an air ionizer, but I haven't noticed any difference in air quality. The first night I had it, I didn't get to enjoy it -- it got pressed into service drying out my utility room after it flooded from water coming up through the floor drain during a thunderstorm. Great fan. August 2, 2016
