You don't have to use cleaner, just wipe it down with a damp cloth and you should be good to go. Hope this helps.

Answer:
Not easily. Either compressed air, a hair dryer, an air compressor, or a ton of patience and special safety bits for a screwdriver.
Good luck and not smart thinking from Lasko...

Answer:
I read that you have to use compressed air or a vacuum cleaner. You could also use a hair dryer.
You can... take it apart but I read it's a pain and you have to get the right safety bit that will fit. Good luck.

Answer:
The fan oscillates left to right at about a 90 degree angle or you can turn off the oscillation and have it give out air in a stationary position. If you use the oscillation function, it does adequately sweep across an average room.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 85 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy! Very simple to put together. I love how it will blow air over the bed to keep us cool and not sit on the floor wasting air there. i did not want a floor tower fan for that reason. Also has a nice quiet motor for sleeping even on the high setting August 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I am very please with this product Quiet, and so far dependable. I was looking for a stand fan that had a remote in a good price rsnge August 2, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NOT WORTH THE MONEY Bought this item on the Home Depot web site since it wasn't available in the stores. I was very disappoined with it. Even on the highest level, the fan was not very strong. I took it back for a refund and picked up an 18" oscillating pedistal fan with remote and it does much better. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great!! great fan for any space. slick design, quiet and powerful July 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by works fine This fan was purchased to offer airflow on the porch. In late afternoon with shades lowered it still gets hot and the fan helps make it comfortable. Works for us August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Air Flow I really enjoy my Lasko 52in Pedestal fan,Great air flow. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stylish fan I love this fan. It's super quiet and I use it during the night for my hot flashes. I can turn it on from my bed with the remote control. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Control Issues but still great fan! So, the problem is with Lasko's packaging of this fan. They definitely went cheap on most items and packaging is one that has caused me some problems. I had to buy 8 fans in order to find 2 of them that are halfway decent. The rest made noises (from the fan), had deep scratches, and more problems. I feel that these fans are great for saving space and much less money than a Dyson. We use them for sleeping so the height is just perfect. That being said, the company definitely has went cheap on various design components such as a screw is what holds the pole to the fan and to the base. It's not screwed in like you would think too... they use the sides of a wood screw which is just a cheap and terrible attachment method. I'm an engineer so if it fails, I'll figure something else out but it is still disappointing to see from Lasko to say the least. I hope Lasko attempts to make a 2.0 new design of this fan and actually put more thought and care into it because it really has some amazing potential. Also, Lasko if you read this make the fan easy to clean! I've read that it's a nightmare to clean and blowing it out does not do a good enough job. Time will tell for us I suppose... I'm glad that I bought it but was upset that it took 8 fans for me to find 2 decent fans. The remote controlled oscillation feature is amazing though! And it has other features. The remote control itself feels VERY cheap but whatever. So I'd recommend but buyer beware for initial problems (bust out the magnifying lens). :-) June 28, 2016
