I have the small desktop unit without a remote. So I have to do things manually. Did you turn off the power button? I have noticed with mine that if I don't press it hard enough the ocillating button/2 speeds, (blue button ) does not shut off.

Air Stik 14 in. Oscillating Personal Fan is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Bad For The Price! Someone I know had this fan but it was in a very small room. I thought it was great for the price. I put in my bedroom on a dresser facing my bed. It's pretty good but I should have bought the taller one considering the side of my room but it's not bad if its not too hot. Would recommend this size for a small room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great purchase Good product. Fits well in a tight office space, keeps it cool and does not distract others by being noisy.

I don't have a lot of desk space at work, but this mini tower does the job and it looks nice. I have Lasko's tall tower fans at home and have enjoyed them for over a year. I took away the fifth star because the power button takes extra effort to push to turn on. My fingers are weak from arthritis, so it causes a slight problem for me on bad days. Wished it came with a remote though. That would have bumped it up to five stars and I would have have a problem! Definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, quiet fan Ready out of the box, options to oscillate or not, two speeds, very quiet. Perfect for my desktop. I've owned 3 - one was stolen (guess that's proof it's good!), one went to a dorm room and now I've replaced that with a new one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does the job, kind of noisy, not bad for the price I wanted a low profile fan for under my work desk. I have it mounted sideways under the desk with velcro straps. Works. Even with foam sound insulation it's kind of noisy...more so than the server/workstation. Home Depot managed to get it to the store twice with a forklift puncture through the box. I don't think the employees are taught anything about QA...anybody who considered details would see the gaping hole and immediately check the product. First one was destroyed, second one has a cracked housing, and I'm just living with it. I recommend this fan because it's just about the only tall/thin one available.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does the job This fan has two speeds and optional oscillation, but it is by no means quiet enough to set on your desk. The on/off/speed button requires a deep click, so much so that you have to pick the fan up and hold it in one hand while psyching the button with the other.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fan is good for office use I bought 3 of these fans. 2 for the office and 1 for my bathroom. The one for home didn't last 2 weeks and I had to return it. I'm hoping the others do better. The fan is a good value and it's tower shape is perfect for a desk. Doesn't blow too much air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Dandy Little Fan I needed a replacement desk fan for work. This little tower is perfect. It is VERY quiet but will push plenty of air. The fact that it also oscillates is great. It has a tiny footprint which is great for a crowded desk. This is not my first Lasko product nor will it be my last. I've had good luck with everything I've purchased with the Lasko label. This little jewel is highly recommended!
