Customer Questions & Answers

I'm looking for a personal heater for my work desk. Will this give off enough heat placed on my desk?

It's not freezing in here but my fingertips feel so cold by the end of they day. I just want something to place on my desk where I can feel the heat while I sit here, which is literally all day. Will I feel the heat off this? How close would I have to place it to me to feel the heat? I usually like to be SUPER warm when I use heaters so the warmer the better.
Asked by: Lia
I think if you have it on your desk or under your desk directly facing you, it should be enough heat.

Can I connected in the car ?

Asked by: David
It needs 120 volts to run. An inverter in your car to change 12 volts DC to 120 volts AC would cost about 10 time the cost of the heater.

Asked by: pwych
Absolutely! It warms up my 10X12 study pretty quick where I don't need to wear a sweater anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor output I put this in a small bathroom and let it run for over an hour. The room was not warm. I needed to put my hand within inches to feel the heat.

My other space heater for my desk area at work kept tripping the circuit breaker so I needed one that used less energy. While smaller than I would like, it does the trick to warm my fingers and toes during these cold days. Because I work in a cinder block warehouse with high ceilings, it is always cold so this little guy really helps. Note, it only heats a couple of feet around it so do not expect it to heat a whole room or area. It is tiny and uses not much energy.

I have it under my desk. I have to have it pointed right at my ankles to feel much heat. I don't expect much heat for a 200 watt heater, but it puts out enough to make me comfortable at work and I haven't blown any fuses!

Item as described, other than that this item is worthless and deserves a lower rating (but 0 isn't an option). What good is this heater? I really don't know since it can't even warm my hands on the keyboard from 12 inches away and blowing directly at them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Cat Loves It I made a house for a feral cat which I needed to heat on freezing days. Other heaters were too big. This is perfect heating the place about 20 to 30 degrees above outside temperature. This was my 3rd attempt to help the cat and the first one he uses.

It does what I want, which is giving me some safe heat, in a small bathroom or in the vanity area. It won't heat up a large room. But I have larger ones for that. I do recommend for small bathrooms and I like the large red on off button.

Took only 5 days day's between the time I ordered it online and when it was ready for me to pick up at my local Home Depot. I purchased this heater for the 200 W feature to use on my small back up solar system. I wanted to use this heater for emergency use but have been using it daily during this winter. A low wattage heater is critical so it does not drain my battery bank as fast as the typical 1500 W space heaters. I have two 100W solar panels, four 6V deep cycle batteries and a 2300 W (3300 W peak) inverter. When I have "My Heat" plugged into my inverter, It will give me a peak of 300 W then stable out to about 240 W. Sometimes it stabilizes at about 180 W. When I plug My Heat into the "Kill A Watt" power meter, it will peak at 300 W also but stabilize at 190 W. So, it is a true 200 W heater! It will warm up my 10X12 study very quickly (doors and windows closed). It is also very quiet. I plan to get another one for my bedroom. I can't say there is anything I dislike about it. It has meet 100% of my expectations for the size and price.
