the crack filler was hard in the tube. I broke my caulking gun trying to get it out. after 1.2 hour and very little progress I just cut the tube open and put on nitril gloves. scooped it out with a finger and forced it down in the crack. Must be out of date but there was no date on the tube.

the latex asphalt sealant was easy to squeeze out and apply and smooth out, I was able to drive over the sealant in 24hrs - great purchase - the local store was out the day i went there, and they said it MIGHT be several weeks before they might get more - so I went back to the store then and they still didn't have any in stock, so i decided get online and order it myself. In a couple of days I received them by UPS! I was very satisfied with the order/puchase/delivery of the cartridges s of sealant. Sincerely,

I had never done this before. I read the reviews for other products on the HD website. I didn't want to use the hot products. So I got the bucket of this product to fill the big cracks with a towel. When it dried it showed some small cracks from shrinkage. (Costanza!) I used this product with a caulk gun to fill those cracks, as well as the smaller ones in the driveway. I was really happy that I got both versions.

This material may be suitable to seal hairline cracks but it shrinks to paint thickness upon curing! I filled 1/4" deep by 3/8" wide cracks in my asphalt driveway making sure to get 100% fill. One week later the cracks were 3/16" deep by 3/8" wide but shiny black. It may be a crack sealer but it sure isn't a crack filler.

My big complaint about caulking is usually a cheap gun. Get a better gun. I used the filler for more than cracks. I used it to correct and level the driveway where it meets the street. I also used it to fill in the groove between the driveway and the pad. Use a trowel to sculpt or flatten the strip of filler into the shape you need. Use paint tape to strike a line on street to stop the filler, later the sealer, in a straight line. Also use the tape to protect the edge between the garage and pad. Use a trowel to level crack filler you put in a crack. There is not a lot in the tube, so buy some extra tubes--you can always return them. If you are new to caulking guns, ask the salesperson to show you how to draw back the pushrod. Also, be sure after you cut the end off the spout to puncture the seal in the tube with either the needle on the caulking gun, or with a long nail or piece of clothes hanger. The filler will flow out so be careful it does not spurt or drip. You can clean off tools, hands, etc. with BBQ lighter fluid. Water will not clean it up.

I have used this crack filler before and was happy with it.
Now i bought a tube where the caulking comes out in pellets, I had use my finger to push it into the crack.
Why don't the have an expiration or manufacturing date on the tube???
I will return the tube today.

i found that this crack filler flows smoothly, and blends as best as expected. with winter approaching, i will monitor the sealed areas to insure it's cold weather elasticity. after two weeks, it still maintains it's adhesion/bond with the existing driveway( with overnight temps dropping to the low 30's)
