I prepped the driveway (2250 sq. ft.) with driveway cleaner and a pressure washer. Fixed the larger cracks with Trowel-patch which worked better than the Crack repair tube, both by Latex-ite. The prep work took about three hours.
Being fairly obsessive-compulsive, I had my daughter brush the driveway edges with the Acrylic-plus while I rolled on the product with help from my son and wife. We needed to lay on a fair amount as my driveway had not been sealed in 15 years. This took about 6 man-hours. I did achieve about 450 sq.ft. per 4 gallon container. If it holds up for the advertised 10 years, I'll be very pleased.

My driveway is about 1300 sq ft. I used the less expensive "Airport grade" version of this product 3 years ago. I used 3.5 buckets at the time, and my driveway was very streaky. Was not too happy with the results. This time I decided to try this more expensive product, the Acrylic plus, and all i can say is wow. Easier to mix, easier to apply, used WAY less (2 buckets), and there are virtually no streaks. The only warning I have for anyone considering this product is don't expect it to fill in cracks, even hairline, as advertised, because it won't. Then again neither will the airport grade. Get your own separate sealer for your cracks. See pictures. Very happy.

Just applied this a few days ago on my old worn driveway. Just bought my house but probably hasn't been sealed in years. After filling cracks I put this on. Fairly easy application, if you know how to paint you can probably do this. Had to apply a good amount and make sure to push it in all areas. I have a fairly small driveway and took about 3 hours. Thus far nice dark color and no streaks. Worth the extra money. I have my doubts about it lasting ten years but still solid product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FranklinConley Revitalized neglected asphalt driveway!
Although somewhat slow to apply, this product really covered the asphalt well - even the small holes and cracks. It dries very fast and that makes it easier on the family. I got good coverage, too, especially considering the condition of my driveway (I should have done this several years ago).

Just follow the directions. Clean and prep surface properly and it will look great when you are done! My driveway has never been sealed so I got around 400 sq. feet coverage per bucket. It took 4 buckets to complete my 1,600 sq foot driveway. My wife, son and I did driveway in about 2 and a half hours. Used 9 inch rollers with 1/2 inch nap. Needed to change rollers about half way through. My neighbor thought we had a professional do it because it looked so good. This is the first time I ever sealed a driveway and if I can do it anyone can do it. Nice to save money doing things yourself. Bottom line excellent product.

Rarely does a product perform as advertised. This did! I normally use about 8-10 gallons of drive way sealer, and this covered with some to spare with less than 5 gallons. Went on easily. initial stirring was a snap. usually there is heavy crud that needs to be mixed into a layer of solvent on the top. I used a 9" roller, which I thought was dumb...too lazy to go back to HD for a larger roller. The 9' roller worked perfectly, as the directions said...dip the roller into the container and then roll a 4' x 4' section. worked great. The most expensive, but most cost effective. Obviously I cant tell how it will last, but it went on easily and looks great. Oh by the way, I bought it to keep my pets from traipsing across wet sealer...it dried as stated within an hour. I'll probably wait more than 4 before I drive on it; why chance ruining a great experience. After a shower, I'll be taking back the second container, which I won't be using.

I have a 10 month old new asphalt driveway. The contractor suggested I seal the driveway after 6-12 months. Cleaned it prior to application and carefully stirred the product. As I rolled it on the product "caked" up on the rollers and left latex debris on the driveway. I tried several different naps and still it caked. It also shows every roller mark and did not adequately cover the driveway, even though I went over most of it twice! How I wish I had just used tried and true oil. It may not last as long but it does not make the driveway look worse after application.

I bought 2 buckets which covered my entire driveway and sidewalk. It had been sealed about 2 years prior to this. It's an older driveway and porous in spots. I filled all the cracks the previous day. Temps were between 75-80 and we started around 9:00 A.M. and finished by around noon time. The sun had a chance to dry it pretty good for several hours before we experienced a brief 15-20 minute shower. Shortly after the shower ended I took my hand held blower and removed any standing water and cleared the driveway of any water. Even though it says you can drive on it after 4 hours we decided to wait until the following morning to put our cars back on the driveway just to be sure. 4 days later I happened to notice the sealer has lifted in spots where our tire tracks were! I know I had properly cleaned off the driveway of all debris, and I had hosed it down before applying the sealer. Even though it had briefly rained I would not think this would have been an issue since it had at least several hours of drying time before this happened. It looks good but I was a little surprised to see it had lifted where our tire tracks were. I'm now going to need another bucket to re-apply a second coat on the driveway to cover up the spots that have lifted.
