Customer Questions & Answers

Will this fit a vessel sink that requires a 1 1/2" drain?

The p trap pipe that I bought is 1 1/4 inches, so will that work? Also, we have a vessel sink and pedestal - will the brass/chrome portion of this product show through the pedestal? Thank you.
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Kat. Thank you so much for your interest in Moen products. If we understand your question, you need a standard bathroom sink drain. We have attached the specifications of the 140780 drain to illustrate the dimensions of the product. As you can see in the image, the tail piece which comes in contact with the p trap is 1 1/4". In addition, the chrome and brass portion of the drain hangs below the sink deck. Therefore, depending on the shape of your pedestal or the angle of view, the bottom drain assembly may be visible. If you have more questions, please let us know.
