Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lawn Boy Electric start is great ,self propelled took a little getting used to,it works well. You dont have to push the mower.I have a small yard so a 20 inch deck is fine. June 25, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy I wanted a self propelled lawnmower with an electric start because I have a bad back and have difficulty bending or lifting. They did not have one in the store, so I ordered online. Big mistake. Mower had a bent wheel height adjuster out of the box. After working with it, I got it so it would it would adjust. When I went to mow, the self propelled feature didn't work. The manual suggested the cable was adjustable. After adjustment it worked ONCE. The 2nd time I started to mow, it would not engage. I would really like to return or exchange, but Lawnboy says I should take it to an authorized repair shop. So I will have to lift a 90lb mower into and out of my car. I am searching my city to find a repair shop. The motor seems good. It does start easily. But everything else is cheap. I sure hope they will honor the warranty on this piece of junk. May 15, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The Litte woman loves it . Great little mower . They need to do a better job packing them . August 26, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfied with product, BUT! This is a good lawnmower despite the fact that it arrived with the included quart of oil container having a leak in it (contents of the carton bathed in oil). This unit has a variable speed drive lever which was not clearly described in the online sales description. It takes a bit of patience to learn to use this vs most power drive solutions of "select a speed" options. It is also a bit dangerous as when one hits an unexpected bump on the lawn (even a small one) the speed lever may bounce in one's hand and cause an unexpected acceleration or stoppage! I have yet to find a real redeeming advantage in this approach to a lawnmower drive. July 1, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by lawn mower I bought it online and got it delivered to my home. Shipment came pretty quickly much earlier than the promised date. I opened it, read the instructions and assembled it in a few minutes... all too easy. Started mowing and noticed that one of the front wheel was not touching the ground. Then noticed that the height adjuster lever was not firmly sitting in the groove provided. No matter which hole you put it, even at the slightest bump it would slip all the way back. It was clear that the lever on one side of the mower was damaged/loose and it did not look like a shipment damaged. It came from the factory defective June 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by convenient, easy to use , light weight, easy start, This is a very convenient, easy to use , light weight, easy start, if battery is down, pull start a breeze. I have it for 4 years now and working fine. No issues. Battery charges very fast and good for a whole season. Only thing is the bag is too small and fills up fast and the position of the bag blocks the shute with the result the grass overflows from one side. This is the only draw back otherwise it is 5 stars May 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT BUY!! Came with the left rear blade height adjustment bent so badly that it would not lock into place. I was able to move the teeth a bit with a wrench, which made it useable. Mower started right up and ran GREAT! for the first 5 feet that is. Then the self-propelled drive system locked up and refused to budge. The build quality is poor, even for this price range. The bagging system is an utter joke... the chute is really narrow- now way is long grass or leaves going to make it into the bag...lWhile the engine is really nice, the wheels and some of the other components feel filmsy. I cannot believe that it 1. arrived bent and 2. arrived broken. SAVE YOUR $ AND BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!! September 16, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fast little sucker Great Mower, easy to start, none of the shipping issues I read in other reviews, great price. But, bag is a little small, grass tends to stick to the underside a lot, and who could possibly keep up with the self-propelled speed that this mower has when the handle is depressed all the way, you literally would have to run to keep up. You can press it partially to control your speed, but it takes some getting used to and your hands tend to get sore with a partial press. Hang on when turning because you tend to depress the handle more then and the mower will take off. June 24, 2014
