CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by 139 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Satisfied I purchased this lawnmower in 2010, but it had the Briggs & Stratton engine. I wanted to wait a reasonable amount of time before leaving a review, as almost everything works perfectly on the first day. I am very pleased with this mower. The electric start works perfectly and boy does this machine go when in full throttle. I took a chance on it, and I'm glad I invested the extra money to buy a good mower. If it had a washout port, that would be a bonus! Maybe one day Lawnboy will add it, if they haven't already. May 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME I just bought this one yesterday and it took me 1 min to assemble. I did not use the electric start yet but the manual start so easy.. it started in first try and then i stopped it and started it again 4 times just to see if it works so good every time. And it started at the first pull all the time. I bought a Ariens mower 2 days before and it never started. Had to return it and buy this one. Lets see how it works in the future... June 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Can't beat it My first Lawnboy has been replaced after 24 years of service with this 20 inch electro start model. With a $50 off on-line promotion {$279} you cant beat this deal. The only reason I can think of why Toro bought Lawnboy a few years ago .. is they can't compete with quality at the Lawnboy price. Their equivalent would be $399 and you get 2 inch wider cut. Rated 2 out of 5 by lawn mower I bought it online and got it delivered to my home. Shipment came pretty quickly much earlier than the promised date. I opened it, read the instructions and assembled it in a few minutes... all too easy. Started mowing and noticed that one of the front wheel was not touching the ground. Then noticed that the height adjuster lever was not firmly sitting in the groove provided. No matter which hole you put it, even at the slightest bump it would slip all the way back. It was clear that the lever on one side of the mower was damaged/loose and it did not look like a shipment damaged. It came from the factory defective June 16, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by I read the reviews and still bought it, should have listened! the Lawnboy self propel, key start mower needed some mechanical work right in the box. I had to straightened the rear height adjusters, they both were badly bent. Like I said "I read the reviews, should have listened." I mowed my back yard, a total of 15-20 mins and as I was just about to mulch some leaves, the left rear wheel fell off. Luckily I read the reviews and didn't panic or scream, I just looked for all the parts that fell off. Then I went to the HD web site and read the reviews again, just for some back up of sorts and in the process I copied the parts schematics and the parts list as well as the warranty. Well I don't know who designed this mower but I would think someone would have thought to put a lock nut on the bolt that holds the wheels on, but for some reason the bolt only goes far enough (say four threads) into the main assembly, no mechanical device to hold the bolt on other than the threads of the bolt. I've only had this mower for 2 days and one mow. So of I go to put the wheel back on, but first I'm gonna buy some Loctite at my local HD. June 13, 2014
