Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nibiru2012 Very Good Lawnmower - Poor Design on Front Wheel Height Adjuters
This review pertains to the Lawn Boy mower itself and a factory assembly issue on the front axle and the poor quality and design of the OEM mower blade.
First of all the engine on this mower is excellent! Always starts within 1-2 pulls.
Second, my unit arrived with the front wheel adjuster not properly aligned on the wheel axle causing it to not mesh properly with the adjuster bumps on the black front bumper. This caused the plastic bumps to shear off under the slightest stress. I had to order a new bumper from Lawn Boy for $12.50 plus shipping. Also the wheel height was off from front to rear, the front dropping lower versus the rear wheels when setting the the same adjustment bumps. It was visibly noticeable!
I decided to take the wheel off of the axle shaft to oil it and to check the condition of the adjuster arm. I did not realize is was not aligned properly from the factory. When I reassembled it there's a hole in the arm's mounting portion next to the hole for the axle. It is supposed to lock into a locating pin on the axle shaft assembly. When I did that... shazaam! (See attached diagram below.) The adjuster now properly aligned with the adjustment bumps on the black front bumper assembly. The mower would now sit level when using the same bumper adjustment from front to rear.
Also, the stock OEM blade is a poor excuse for a mower blade!!
DO NOT USE IT! It's poorly made with the ends sloping downwards from where the sharpened edge begins to the end of the blade. About 6 inches or so and the slope is about 1/4" downward. So the really only effective cutting is occurring on the first 1/2" or so of the blade's cutting edges. Plus it's a thin blade made of soft steel.
Replace it as soon as possible with an OREGON brand model 96-660 G3 Gator Blade! Thicker metal and powder-coated finish, steel is highly tempered too! Took me about four times longer to get a good sharp edge on this blade versus the OEM Lawn Boy blade. You must sharpen the Gator blade before using it because they powder-coat it including the cutting edges. This blade sits flat and level along the cutting edges so you get 100% of the total cutting edge working for you.
The Oregon 96-660 G3 Gator Blade is a far superior blade and you won't regret purchasing it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BIGLOVE101 It fits my needs.
I purchased the 10730 model 8-26-2016. I set out to cut my lawn and and 2 of my neighbors, we live in row homes. but we have front and back lawns. To my surprise this Lawn Boy lawn mower was extremely easy to set up. I set out to cut at 1130a I was cutting by 12p. The mower started on the first pull!
All 3 of the lawns I had to cut were over 12in high. I adjusted the height of the lawn mower and plowed right through it, I had to tilt and jocky the mower accordingly. It cut off a couple of times, only because the grass was still wet and very heavy, thanks morning Dew. lol.. I ran it hard for about 45 minutes. Hardly any fuel was used. So far I'm thoroughly impressed with the Lawn Boy 10730 with the Kohler 6.5, 149cc engine.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TJ2 Worst grass collection design ever!
Yes the lawn mower starts right up almost all the time. It says that right on the top for you to see. But I needed a mower that collects the grass this thing has the worst design in capturing the grass- after you mow about 6 feet of your lawn no matter the length or height adjustment the door to the bag gets clogged with clippings and the mower turns into a mulching GRASS PUKING MACHINE. Literally I spend more time picking up piles and cleaning the side walk/drive way than mowing. Wife hates to mow due to the mess- she use to mow all the time. My neighbors get a kick out of watching the event and take note not to buy this green mess of a mower. Tried every trick n advice from this manufacture - same result I am done with this after 1.5 years. Wasted my money! Going to buy a different brand this spring. I have some good picks of the aftermath mess this thing creates.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by KansasCity DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY - I typically do not review products but this product is so bad I had to. I thought Lawn-Boy stood for quality but this product is bad. Cheap plastic and poor design is the problem. The gas cap leaks gasoline, air filter cover will not stay on, height mechanism broke within first year of machine purchase. Warranty is a hassle to deal with and gave up. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY.

Wheel adjustment slips out of selected height location.
Have to use another position ,which is either to low or to high .
Does anybody know if the peg adjustment can be repaired ,some way.?
Mower does not collect loose leaves but blows them to another location.
The old Lawn Boys were light ,this dog is very heavy and hard to maneuver when you have a lot of trees to mow around.
My father-in-aw would roll over In his grave if he had to work on this mower.(he repaired mowers)
Gas cover is extremely hard to open and close .You have to have a strong hands to do it. .
Very dis-appointed in this mower.
