Does it come with the extra bit set

The description says "with bits", but there is no mention of them in the reviews? Does it actually come with the extra bit set or is it just referring to the Flat head and Phillips screw drivers that normally come with the tool? Thanks.
Asked by: Horrse
No. It comes with 2 bits. One in the handle, and one in the bit holder.

I had a St. Steel Skeletool with a serrated blade, given to me for my birthday a year ago. I was not happy with the "blade", I was told by another hardware retailer that I could obtain a 154CM blade & replace the original. So I came to my favorite Home Depot & tried to get the 154CM blade. I was told that you do handle these blades as a replacement, (nor does any-one else), that you'd have to order-it-out as a replacement part - or - ,I could do the same thing on-line & save a lot of time. (That was great, I thought!) When contacting Leatherman direct, they informed me that "each tool is "built different" & the blade "would not fit"!! So I felt, what the heck, I'll order the fancy CX 7 version & give my previous gift to one of my boys. After getting my new - "THE CX 7" (from Home Depot), I tried the "blade inter-change" with the (2) "Skeletools" - "no problem" !! I feel that it's a "Genuine Con-Job" by Leatherman ~ they better get their "act together"!! Their product is good, but the product "CX 7", by far, is over-priced!!!!!! Rich

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5oz and most important tools I had to write a review after seeing the only review on here being one from someone who comparatively reviewed an apple saying it didn't have enough of a citrus taste... Clearly, if you want a can opener, a file, a lock pick set, a lawn mower, and a small nuclear power source, this is not the tool for you. This tool is much more for someone who appreciates quality and a good long warranty. Someone who doesn't want to carry around the extra weight of tools he/she doesn't use often but wants the tools that he/she carries to function as well as possible with little chance of failure. Knife: Good knife shape that holds an edge well due to the 154CM steel and is easy enough to open one handed. Liner locked so it doesn't close on your fingers. Pliers: Strong and accurate with everything you might expect from a modern leatherman plier head. If you do really fine work, you might find the ends to be slightly blunt for your taste. These are NOT spring loaded and the tool is quite tight when new - some like this, others don't. Screw Driver: It comes with 2 of Leatherman's semi-flat space saving dual sided bits - one in the bit holder and the other in specially designed holder in the frame. The included bits are only of the flathead/philips persuasion, which work fine for most tasks, but I prefer to also carry a bit extender and torx/hex bits with me for more specific tasks (Leatherman makes a kit with all kinds of extra bits). Being able to switch out the bits increases the usefulness of the tool for me immensely. Carabiner/Bottle Opener: I don't open bottles much so I'm not terribly qualified to review the bottle opener. The carabiner works well and is handy for when I'm being a bit more active and want to make sure I'm not going to lose my rather expensive tool. Pocket Clip: Not a tool per se, but worth mentioning that it works well and sits quite low, with about 1/2" or less of tool protruding from the pocket when clipped down snugly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Single best tool money can buy. I cant get over how much I love this little multi tool. It is the perfect size, weight, design, and function for my EDC. The quick blade access is very good. The blade QUALITY of 154CM is also very good. The bit driver system is actually very convenient as well. I am surprised how many times a day I actually use my skeletool. It is the perfect blend of what I need and just the right amount of versatility. Not overdoing it with 21 tools and such. The weight is also surprisingly light. It feels so good and sturdy in your hands, but naturally you think something so robust has to feel a certain weight. Cheers to the designers and engineers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Near perfect EDC tool This is an incredibly handy little tool. About 3/4 smaller than the beefier full sized super tools, it makes it the perfect size for EDC around the house or office. The 154cm blade far better quality than the cheap 420 stainless used in most leatherman blades. Mine has opened countless bags of wood pellets, boxes and mail. In general I distrust folding knives and so I'm pleasantly surprised how much I use the blade. It conviently opens without having to open the pliers and holds a decent edge. The screw driver is perfect for putting together the countless amount of Chicago screws that I use in my home business. Honestly I use the pliers for very little. They are great to have in a pinch, but aren't robust enough for electric fence work and so I find myself reaching for a larger multitool for "real" work. The caribener is a very nice touch. It makes it conviently clipping to a backpack, etc. That being said, mine usually resides in my front pocket using the belt clip. Some reviews have said that the belt clip is too flimsy, but I've never had an issue or doubted its ability to function correctly. My only beef with this multitool is the pliers aren't up to the beefy standards of the supertool and I get concerned that the spare bit might fall out eventually. Otherwise it's a great value for those who don't need a Swiss army cabinet of tools. I've considered purchasing another one just to have on hand. That being said, I would never pay more than $70 for this tool. Even with the 154cm blade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted, compact, versatile and SHARP! This is the right tool, and Home Depot online had it cheaper than anywhere else. Shipping was quick and I've been enjoying it for a couple of weeks now. It doesnt feel like a multi-tool in my pocket, but rather just like a pocket knife. Good tool, good vendor!
