Customer Reviews

Deluxe Universal Wire Management Kit is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Better options available This product looks good online but is poorly designed. I would have thought there was a base plate that attached to the wall that the channels would snap onto. Instead, each piece has 2 diagonal angled holes on the bottom that 3/4-inch screws are put through that are supposed to hold it to the wall. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it, it didn't work for me. The 8-inch piece cantilevered above the point of attachment rotated away from wall and fell down. If you managed to get it to hold (on wood paneling maybe) you would have to remove each section if you needed to add additional wires. I returned it to the store and found one there that was a 2 part assembly, a base plate attached to the wall and a snap on cover (as I expected this to be) for half the price. Worked and looks great, fortunately it was wide enough to cover the holes left by this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me I didn't realize the covers were so wide (about 2-1/2 inches) and sticks out from the wall one inch. I only needed a cover for TV wire. I guess this would be good if you have several wires to hide. You also must screw this into your wall with two holes every eight inches. The screws are too short to go into my drywall and be secure. This is not very easy to install and once in place you must disassemble the whole thing to add any wires later (from a new DVR, etc.). I gave up after trying to secure one section. I guess if you had the proper screws, a lot of time and a lot of wires -- it might work for you. Lastly there were no instructions in my box; however, is quite easy to figure out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Quite What I Wanted Looks better on the box. You can shape it any way you want. However, after opening the box, I was surprised to see so many pieces to this. I was also surprised that each section had to be screwed in. I was under the impression that it was a snap and go. This seems great for people that are really handy, but not for my husband. Also, if you want to change the location of any of the wires, everything needs to be taken apart and put back together. For us, it seemed more a hassle than a convenience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hiding wires This cord management system is a light beige plastic which can be painted to match your wall. The kit includes a variety of pieces for a typical set up. There's 10 feet of total kit, but if you're not using any of the corner or angle pieces, its is closer to about 8.5 feet just using the straight pieces. The inside of the pieces are 2 1/8" wide and just shy of 3/4" deep at the highest point, so it can accommodate multiple cords. Install is easy, it comes with small nails that secure each piece to the wall. The main pieces are 8" long and the end/beginning pieces are 4" long. A very versatile kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Didn't suit my needs This cord management system is made of high quality durable material and lends an industrial/tech look to your set up. It comes in an off-white, but can be painted to match your walls. Unfortunately, this isn't the system I was looking for. It can be run along some standard baseboard heights but it won't transition to the wall with no gap. I also didn't realize how wide it was and only needed it for one coax cable. I just moved and am in the process of painting and replacing flooring (excuse my pics) and haven't decided on placement of everything. In my case, it will likely serve better in the basement to be finished for gaming. But after preparing a mock-up on my temporary, existing set up, it seems difficult to install and the instructions are not particularly helpful. Tools required are a Philips screw driver, a level, and an assistant for the initial mount. Installation requires multiple holes in your wall, so I absolutely recommend doing a test pattern first. Once you have installed the tracks, you might be able to wiggle a 2-prong plug through it, but you will have to disassemble it to fit any additional cords that may be larger. Also, another issue I found is that, since most wall corners in homes are not perfect 90 degrees, the rigid plastic isn't pliable and won't accommodate flaws. Though, you could easily caulk and paint to conceal any gaps that might occur at installation. This product surely has a variety of applications, but mine is unfortunately not one of them. I would probably still recommend it for other applications.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Erector set Lots if little pieces For length and the width is huge. Not what I had expected.
