Answer:
It will fit a standard box provided there is enough depth to accept this and any wiring as it does take up a lot of space (depth wise). The height and width will fit any standard box. The less wiring you have in your box, the more room for this. You will have to either try it or measure the available space in your box and compare it with the specs.

Yes, it's designed to fit in a standard 1-gang box, along the lines of this product:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/202546989
I would not recommend using a shallow one, though. It is similar in size and shape to a GFCI outlet.

Answer:
I believe so. The receptacle I replaced was one of four in the master bedroom and not any special kind of outlet as far as I can tell. I think the face sticks out a little more than your normal flush decor outlets, but not by much. It's a fat receptacle but I didn't really have to jam it in there.

Answer:
Yes, although since it is twice the volume of a standard device, the number of wires and connections is limited. I installed it in a deep double gang box with two connections, five conductors and a 15-amp switch, no problem.

Yes, though if there are several junctions in the box it may be tricky to make it fit in. I had no problems mounting this in a normal single gang box.

Can I replace an outlet where the top is always on, but the bottom is switched for a lamp

This question is from 15 Amp Decora Combination Duplex Receptacle and USB Charger - White

My current outlet has

Top = always on
Bottom = switched -> Lamp is connected.

I desire to have the Top = always on
USB = always on
Bottom = switched -> Lamp plugged in here.

Most standard outlets have a strip of metal that can be cut to separate them, so that half can be switched power. The picture of this shows nothing of the parts that you connect, so it is not clear.

Answer:
No, you cannot separate power between the outlets. There's only two screw terminals on the side for hot & neutral. Lowes carries Hubbel and Cooper brands, and neither of them can have separate power either.

No, a single screw is used for up to two neutral (white) connections, another single screw is used for up to two hot (black) connections. There is no provision for separate power for the electrical outlets.

Answer:
The use of a Decora faceplate is recommended. A standard faceplate will work mechanically, but the outlet will protrude from the faceplate enough that the sides of the outlet will be slightly visible. Note that some of the sides of the outlet are black in color. As the Decora faceplate is thicker than the standard faceplate, it will be a make for a more professional looking installation.

I used a standard 1 gang decora plate that was only $0.79. It fit and covered nicely. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Leviton-Decora-1-Gang-Midway-Nylon-Wall-Plate-White-R62-0PJ26-00W/100356918. But most any brand will work.

Answer:
The manufacturer spec is 3.6 Amps...this is total for both outlets. It could be any combination of current to each outlet as needed by the device(s) attached. Just like the AC outlets; if you have a 10 amp load on one, that only leaves 5 amps for the other the difference being that devices charged by USB adjust their current draw to what is available.

The specs don't say; just 3.6A total. Since an iPad requires 2.1A, I'd say it will charge an iPad and an iPhone or iPod.

The box says "3.6A USB charger" above "15A-125V outlet," making me think each port is 3.6A. It's enough for an iPad Air, which charges much faster with higher amps. But I can't really say at what rate the iPad charges.

I have this outlet plus the one with one 110 outlet and two USB outlets. That one shuts down if I charge two high pull devices at the same time. Haven't had any problems with this one charging two iPhones at the same time. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by USB / 110 outlet Outlet was very high quality and works great. It was very easy to install and I continue to use it daily for all of my USB charging devices June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by handy device Low power charger. Doesn't get hot like the Apple stuff does but is slower. If you are leaving your device on the counter overnight it doesn't matter. The one that triggered the review is my second one. If you have competing chargers on the wall someplace this can be a reasonable solution. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the added funtionality really like the added functionality, still have two 15 amp outlets and two added 3.6 amp USB ports for charging smartphone and tablets, great in the kitchen for a counter top outlet August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, works as intended Easy to install and works great. Would prefer an option without the tamperproof,, but no big deal. August 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by USB Broke; I'm Done with Leviton I'm very unimpressed. One USB port broke within days (see image). The plastic wafer came out when I gently unplugged a device. I spent 15 minutes trying to snap it back in place, but it's simply broken. I replaced with a Hubbel from Lowes. They also carry a model made by Cooper. The tamper resistant mechanics on this outlet functioned poorly too. I'm done with Leviton. Several GFCI outlets have also failed with minimal regular use. The quality just isn't there. HD, please provide other/better options for your electrical inventory! November 16, 2015
