Hi Rodney, this switch is designed for 15 amps only. A 220 volts requires a 20 amp switch. Check out the link below.

Can I wire this switch with another switch in the same electrical box.

I do not want to uSe the back push-in connectios, but would rather use the Shepard hook wires and screw on connections on the side. This is difficult because the two switches use a common connection between them.

Can this switch be used with a ceiling fan that has a built in dimmer?

Used in this fashion. Fan has a remote which allows you to dim the lighting portion of the fan. The switch flickers ever so slightly when in the "on" position. Works fine (glows) in the "off" position. I'm betting it has something to do with the built in dimmer on the fixture.

Answer:
This illuminated switch will not work properly for that application; you need to use a standard 3-way switch.

Hi Kenny, this switch is a 3 way switch and is designed to turn on or off a light at two different locations. I believe you're trying to just get a switch for your fan in the bathroom.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than toggle So much better than unlit old fashioned toggles the builders put in our new home despite our asking for Decora type switches. I see they cost more so builders today just shove cheap cheap cheap and save perhaps $100 in switch cost in a house that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. Will use these switches to change all of my unlit toggles over in time. March 22, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by It's OK I guess I bought 12 of these 6 months ago so far 1 of the 12 illumination lights has went out, so no more illumination for that 1 it's too much of a hassle to remove and return so it'll just operate without illumination the other 11 are fine for now. March 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value and look. Easy to in install once you have the basic know how. March 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy and at a great price Changing from old school to the newer rocker panels and it was too easy to install. Definitely made the house modern. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good I bought those switches to continue replacing regular switches. It was my 2nd set. and again no disappointment. As a matter of fact, I have not had even a single bad product from Leviton. So I definetely would recommend those switches for use. November 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by See the Switch in the Dark This switch is great in my dark stairway to the basement. It gives just enough light to find it in the dark. Great to have at the top and bottom of the stairwell. The illuminated switch makes it easy for little ones to find and use too; my two year old grand daughter immediately found the switch and turned it on - no hands rubbing over the walls trying to find the light switch! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Long lasting--easy to find and use The lighted switch is superior to its unlighted, rocker switch counterpart since they can easily be found in the dark which can make a big difference for anyone not familiar with a room's switch locations. The rocker type switch is far superior to the universal, small switch since you can activate the switch with things in your hands or arms (elbows work, too) and there is far less chance of a miss. Easy to clean surface. Simple wire attachment system to connect to electric wiring system and options to both secure wires by screw or through friction fit holes wires fit into. I've used this switch and brand for almost 10 years. While the light dims over time, it still stays visible for up to a decade in my experience. January 27, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Loud, not the prettiest illumination, but otherwise OK switch My old switches broke in the hallway so I decided to try the decora switches. I figured if I liked them I'll eventually replace all the switches in the house. I specifically wanted illuminated switches in the hallway so it's easier to locate them. Installation was easy enough and the switches work fine. However, they are LOUD! No matter how gently I press the switch, there is always that loud CLICK! Also the illumination wasn't what I had in mind. It's like this weak orange light. I would've preferred it to be a bit more on the white side. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product because it's loud and the illumination isn't the prettiest, but unfortunately there aren't other options at Home Depot. October 1, 2014
