Nothing in the website addresses aluminum wiring. I happen to have a couple of circuits that are aluminum BX. If you use copper only receptacles you may as well set fire to your house in a year when connections get loose and start to arc.

Answer:
The 5325 is not a CO/ALR rated receptacle, so it cannot be used with aluminum wiring. The only CO/ALR rated receptacle Leviton offers is the 12650.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great price I purchased this outlet to replace an older version behind my TV stand. Came with basic instruction and installation was easy. Make sure to be careful when working with electricity, I recommend to always turn the associated breaker off prior to touching any electrical wires. The outlet looks great installed, would recommend for any home. February 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NOT code compliant for most replacements I bought a bunch of these to replace some existing outlets when we were doing a big electrical job so they'd all look the same. The electrician informed me these won't pass inspection. Most states now require "TR" (tamper resistant) outlets for all new construction and renovations. Most states that includes replacements as well (which is the entire reason for purchasing them). Since our work will be inspected (we're upgrading the electrical), it will definitely get inspected. The electrician said I might be able to make the case if I'm just replacing an existing outlet they could pass (we'll see), but definitely for new outlets, they won't pass. These are perfectly safe to use. Tamper resistant models simply have a flap that covers the prong holes that will not release unless both prongs are inserted at once, so any attempt to insert into only one (say, by a small child with a fork), and the flap will not open and hopefully any shock will be prevented. So these are no worse than any other traditional outlet, it is merely that the standard has changed, and these will not meet that new standard. You could argue you don't have children, but the inspector will simply argue you won't own that home forever or that could change in the future. There are very rare instances you can use these and pass inspection, say, in a dedicated appliance outlet for a refrigerator, dishwasher or clothes washer where they are normally inaccessible. But that's it. Most new installations will require the TR version. The TR versions are only about $0.20 more each, but replacing a perfectly good (and new!) one will cost you much more. Caveat emptor! February 22, 2016
