In a previous question it was answered that this switch isn't rated for a motor load. What is the load rating for this switch? This information is not listed in the specifications. I need a remote switch I can use for a garbage disposal.

Answer:
The 6697 was only rated to control 600W of incandescent lighting. The disposal would fall under a motor load, so I would not recommend it for your application.

Answer:
Good day,
The 6696 is the wireless 3-way switch version of the 6697, however, the 6696 has been discontinued without any replacement. The WSS10-GUZ hardwired switch, and the WSS0S-D0W wireless switch can be used to complete a wireless 3-way application.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect way to control room lights without rewiring ! I bought 4 sets and used 2 in our living room and 2 in the bedroom. Set the living room switches to "A" and the bedroom switches to "B". Used extra strength double sided duct tape to mount the wall units at convenient locations in each room. We bought a new home without any switch controlled outlets and these simple units are working perfectly. The only way a visitor would know these switches were added aftermarket is if they notice the wall plates are approximately 3/4" thick and stand out from the wall a little more than the original wired in-wall plates. My wife is amazed at the instant lighting convenience I've provided her and I love the cost and flexibility as compared to bringing in an electrician and having these 4 wall outlets rewired. 2 neighbors and my sister have already seen these units and insisted on knowing where they came from. I would buy more of these wireless switches but they currently only come with 2 frequency settings. November 11, 2014
