We were extremely disappointed to have scheduled an electrician only to discover that the "kit" we ordered was missing pieces, obviously used, and inadequate to complete our installation. Yes, another reviewer was quite correct in saying that the components are not worth the money. However, our local Home Depot did not carry the required weather-proof receptacle in stock, so we figured just order the kit, and forget the egregious cost. That would have been fine if the kit sent had been new and complete. So, our complaints are both for the value (the kit shouldn't cost nearly this much) and the bad experience that Home Depot provided.

It made installation of the charger easy, however the screws supplied for the socket were either too long or the holes in the box were too small. The screws were hard to turn in the box and one of the heads snapped off.

This is part and parcel of the Levitron 400 charger. It meets UL listing requirements of being able to take the charging station with you when you move, without anything more that a Phillips screwdriver to losen a set screw. It gets the job done, but I felt as though had it not been for the proprietary mounting bracket that is included you could have pulled the items off the shelf for maybe under twenty dollars.
I made one goof on the install mounting the socket upside down because the plug from the charging station goes in upside down. I think I would have made the plug-in cable a little longer and had it rotate 180-degrees, at least that way the rubber gasket would seal better around the cable. Make sure to use the paper mounting template, as the plug in cable is STIFF and doesn't allow for much fudge factor.
Also the three pronged plug only allows for a neutral, no ground. I would have expected a receptical ground from a major company like Levitron making a premium product.
In the end tho, I would buy it again, partly because you have to if you want the portability and build quality of the Levitron 400, but get a grounded socket.

The actual electrical parts included in this kit are the same as those for an electric oven, and can be purchased at Home Depot for less than $30. The bracket is not required to mount a charge station. Save your money, ask your electrician to just install a receptacle and use the hardware included with your wall unit to mount it on the wall.

What a great idea! For a very low price you can purchase all the accessories you need to just hang the charging station up, plug it in, and start using it. We purchased two and put one outside as our primary location and one inside as an option just incase. We love it!

The 240 Volt Pre Wire complements the EVB32 perfectly. The certified electrician who hooked up the EVB32 Home Charger in my garage had very little trouble with this item. He did not have to Hard Wire my Charging Station because of this device and said I could even unplug the EVB32 and take it with to use elsewhere.
