Leviton does not currently offer an electric vehicle charging station with a timer. The charging station will automatically shut off after charging is completed.

Good day,
The EVB32 requires a dedicated 40 amp, 240 volt circuit. If the dryer receptacle that is not being used meets that criteria, then it can be used.

Great product, it should come with the back panel for mounting it. I ordered this online at one of the Home Depot stores, with the assistance of someone at the home depot service desk. No Where when ordering did it say on the site, that the item does not include the back plane for mounting. Site needs updated to point to items needed for install. Hired electrician for install of Breaker ,pipe and 50amp receptacle, all done and no back plane to mount my $950 dollar charging station. I think this should be included with the charger. That's enough of a rant, sorry. Home depot recognise and agreed the site needs to be a little more intuitive and leviton would not sell the back plane without a prewire kit that I did not need. Home made it right , no thanks to leviton. Thank you Home Depot .com. Oh Ya the charger works great and easy install if you have the back plane for mounting.

Heavy cable is properly strain relieved. Unit allows for direct hard wired installation or use of included plug.
Although the cable length is exactly as stated, the usable distance from the charger base is likely to be less than indicated. Most installations will require the cable to exit the charger vertically and lie on the floor all the way to the vehicle before making a short vertical connection to the car - this is because the weight of the cable is high,
This device (and all other EV Level 2 chargers) is overpriced - it performs simple communications with the car, detects the line voltage and enables a simple relay. Although I'm complaining about the price, there is too much power (and risk) for me to attempt a home-brewed solution. Follow National Electrical Code standards for a safe installation.

I like the way it looks and has the same feel as commercial charging stations.The cord is very sturdy but the hanger is a bit on the weak side.I would buy it again without hesitation.
