The Leviton Evr-Green 400 Charging Station is the first UL listed charging station that can provide up to 40-Amp continuous at 240-Volt AC (9.6 kW output) to deliver a fast charging experience for any SAE J1772 compatible plug-in electric vehicle. The modern design, enhanced convenience features, integrated connector dock, and 25 ft. charging cable make the Evr-Green 400 ideal for residential or light commercial applications. The Evr-Green 400 EVB40-PST is used for surface mount receptacle installations - where the electrical box is mounted to the surface of the wall.

Nissan Leaf have a 6.6kW charger and a 30kWh battery - that works out to around 5 hours. YMMV.

It depends on a couple things: the battery capacity and on-board charger of your Tesla. If you have a 100kWh battery and the on board charger can take full advantage of the 40 amp charger, then it should charge within 10 hours.
I have a Chevy Volt that only uses 10kWh of the battery and the internal charger can only do 3.3kW. It takes less than 4 hours for a full charge from zero. I bought the 40A EVSE

I bought the 40A EVSE for future EVs that have bigger internal chargers. Basically you can take battery size and divide by the smaller of EVSE kW or internal charger kW and come up with hours. If you make sure your EVSE has more capacity than your EV internal charger, you should be good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ultra high power charger I bought it because it seemed like it could keep up with growing power demands of EVs. The charging cord is huge, about the size of a gasoline pump hose but it is nice and flexible. The connector seems a little oversized and takes more force than the factory plug to insert in the charge port. The lamps on the unit are very bright, enough to act as a night light for my garage. Having all that power available is great, my car charges in a few hours and the unit stays nice and cool. Big improvement over the 120V charger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and Simple (vs smart) Charger I bought the 50A install kit for $84 extra, and spent another ~$100 on 4-0 cable and conduit, connectors and circuit breaker to do the surface mount removable EVSE. So just short of a grand to do the whole install. The install was straight forward and took about 2.5 hours for a non-expert, but can solve whater ever may come DIYer; be sure to use the layout template to get the relationship of the charger to the plug as they use really large gauge cable and it's difficult to move/bend the cable, if you need to fudge it any. Also note that the plug is installed upside down so note the orientation so you don't have to rewire the receptacle if you wire it right side up the first time like I did. Not so fun with 4-0 copper that's as thick as your pinky finger. I chose this charger and oversized rating of the install to 40-Amps ( 50-A circuite breaker and wire with 4-gauge wire instead of 6-gauge) because I figure simple is better in the front end of changing and emerging technology, and secondly, even thought my on board car charger can only accept 32-Amps, the 40-Amp capability of the Levitron allows future faster charging when and if I get a different EV. I like the build quality of the Levitron-- the solid feel of the connectors, the Charger- to -car plug handle, and the really thick 25-feet of cable which lets me park my EV in any orientation of my two stall garage. The cable is more hose-like and doesn't kink, or show bend-memory. If I chose to move down or change homes down the line, this one can move with me for short money and just a little effort. All in all, I think this is fair value for the money, even though there are WIFI and LCD controlled panels out there. This one works for any techno peasant. Built for a lifetime of service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A noticeable Improvement The Evr-Green 400 40-Amp 240-Volt 9.6-kW Surface Mount Electric Vehicle Charging Station has a long charging cable that allows me to plug my car in and charge it while it's still in the driveway. It is compact and mounted easily on the garage wall. The technologically advanced Evr-Green 400 40-Amp 240-Volt 9.6-kW Surface Mount Electric Vehicle Charging Station charges my car faster than any charger I've ever owned.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice charger, missing items Why don't tell the consumer you need the mounting plate to install the product and its only sold in kit #evk05? The install kit also comes with electrical items including a box and socket. If you have an existing plug like I did, if you buy the kit, have to pay for a bunch of stuff you don't need. If you install it without the plate, it loses the UL rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install This is such an easy install, anyone can do it. The system is heavy so a two person should do the job. It's pretty much plug and play if you have the proper flush mount outlet. A dedicated 50Amp circuit is required. Output is 9.6kW (40a @240VAC). It is sufficient for most electric vehicles. The charging cable is long enough but not too long to be in the way. It even has an excessive cord strain detection. Works great with the Toyota RAV4 EV.
