The button wore out after less than a year. Installed in our kitchen, 600 watt version. I have to press the button repeatedly just to turn on or off the lights so they're not on constantly. Poor design but the illuminated switch is convenient when room is dark.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bill For incandescent bulbs only
The main reason I purchased this product is its design. The large button and pre-set slider make operation extremely simple and convenient. I found the design of other dimmer switches to be a pain in the neck, especially the ones with the tiny sliders along side the switch which always seem to move every time I use the switch. This model ends that problem once and for all. It is a very handsome switch and the LED locator light is a great feature as well.
Some reviews state the switch gets hot and sometimes breaks. I discussed these issues with the manufacturer. They said dimmer switches normally get warm during operation, however they must not carry loads that exceed their ratings. This switch is available in 600 watt and 1000 watt models. I have not encountered any problems with breakage, but the switch is backed by a 5 year warranty so I'm not too concerned about it.
It is important to note that this switch is designed for use with incandescent or halogen bulbs only. It is not designed for use with LED or CFL bulbs. If you wish to use a wider range of bulbs then the model you should use is the IPL06-10Z, which is compatible with LED, CFL, incandescent and halogen bulbs. Unfortunately the IPL06-10Z is only available in a 600 watt rating and it does not have an LED locator light, which the manufacturer said would cause CFL and LED bulbs to flicker.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hank Great product, easy to install and customers like it
This style dimmer comes in two ratings, 600-watt and 1000-watt. Another poster used this switch with an 800-watt load and this could lead to his poor results. I am an electrical contractor and my customers love the dimmers. I have had very good results with it and use it in my own home.

I am not sure why my local HomeDepot no longer stocks these dimmers. There is nothing on the market that gives you all of these features at this price point.

Works great, have 10 of them. Locator light rocks.
Why have you discontinued this HD. Why? Why? Why?

Bought 2 of the 1000 watts switches last year for a remodel and after only 2 months one burned out . Now stuck without matching switches and definitely not good quality for the money. Would not recommend.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by arnie Seems to be good dimmer.
I have 6 of these installed in the house. I like the feature that allows the dimmer to be used on a single or double pole switch configuration. Also, the white and almond face plate selection is nice. All dimmers are functioning normally.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AlwaysAnotherProject Working fine with 6" can LED inserts
We have been using these for over a year in our master bathroom - 4 different two-way switches controlling 1-3 6" Cree LED ceiling can inserts (the Cree direct, deep LED inserts). We will get some flickering on the switch with only 1 light when on the very lowest setting - but other than that, have had no issues with these (and they are used multiple times daily).
We also have 1 two-way switch controlling 4 of the Eco-Smart (made by Cree) Home Depot carried 6" LED can inserts in another room - again, without issue.
The functionality and price point is nice for a two-way installation maintaining a nice on/off feature, along with easy to use light level adjustment. For three-way installation, we use the Leviton Mural product family - as it provides full on/off and light adjustment from all of the switches (master and remote units).
