IMPORTANT REMINDER: GFCIs can become damaged over time, they must be tested monthly to ensure they are providing protection.

  • Tamper resistant helps prevent children from inserting most small objects into outlets
  • Cannot be reset if mis-wired (line/load reversal only) or if GFCI protection is compromised
  • Backwire feature for easy installation
  • Installs in place of standard outlet
  • CSA listed

Answer:
Hi Karen,
This has to do with what amperage circuit breaker you have in your electrical panel that covers the electricity in the area of your house that you want to install a GFCI.
Go look in your electrical panel and find out what amperage circuit breaker you have that covers you bathroom, kitchen or laundry room, then purchase the same amperage GFCI and install.
