Rated 5 out of 5Â by Fred Great Product
The hose reel is sturdy and functional; so much better than the plastic models. It's exactly as described and works great! It comes complete with screws for mounting to the wall studs. I'd suggest replacing the mounting screws/bolts with better/stronger screws. The size it comes with is perfect. However, as I fastened and tightened the screws into the stud, one head broke off. Hence, the recommendation for a stronger type screw. In one of the pictures I posted, you can see where the screw head broke and I used a different screw. Otherwise, it's perfect.

I really wanted this reel to work out well, but so far it just hasn't. The way my garage is set up, I am limited to a left handed reel. I loved this reel because it fit in the space I had perfectly and would swivle. The problem I have had is the way the internal pieces of the reel are assembled. It appears I have recieved a defective one (Hopefully) and will update my review once the new one has arrived. When I turn on the water, the pressure from the water blows the reel apart. The reel itself sits on nylon bushings on a shaft, then there is the internal J-hook type hose assembly containing a nylon bushing with 2 rubber o-rings that slides on the inside of the shaft to seal everything up. Finally there is a snap ring that is supposed to hold everything together. The problem I'm having is that the groove the snap ring goes into doesnt appear to be deep or wide enough for the snap ring to fit into, so when I turn the water on, the pressure is enough to push everything apart. No, I dont have an insane amount of water pressure coming from my well pump, its just the design of the reel thats the issue. Anyway, I should have taken pictures of it broken to post, but I missed that opportunity. I will update this review if the new one works better.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by handywoman Great heavy duty product with one small issue
This is a heavy duty well made hose reel. It has to be just to hold itself on a wall prior to adding the weight of a hose with water in it. However, mine was faulty. It has 4 holes for lag screws to secure to the wall. Two of those holes are in welded tabs & one of those tabs was welded crooked making mine rock unevenly. So there was no way to straighten the welded tab & it needed all 4 lags to secure properly. You may have to purchase more (correct length) lags according to where you hang. We did order another reel & it was perfect. Hoping for no leaks & a long lasting reel for this price.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Maintenanceman It's unique but...
The wall-mounted reel holds 100â 5/8â garden hose. The bracket arm and reel are high quality.
One reviewer mentioned that it is left-handed. That is correct with no way to turn it upside-down so that it can be right-handed. It should have had a universal swivel. It reels well 90 degrees to the right and maybe 75 degrees to the left.
Another reviewer criticized the supplied bolts as being inferior. One of mine broke during installation too. If you need to unscrew one and retighten it, it will probably break and then your hole is filled with a long broken-off screw. Donât use the supplied hardware. Buy "hardware store quality" hex head screws.
The other thing to bear in mind is that it mounts on flat concrete anywhere you want it, but you may need to mount it above available flat concrete so you need to locate the wall studs, and maybe shim the exterior screw points if you have angled vinyl siding like I do. The bracket holes are standard 16 inches apart. Once mounted into the studs the whole thing was quite secure.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by coffjc Nice product, but mount is not reversible
I am satisfied with the quality of this product, but was a little disappointed that the swing of the reel is not reversible so you end up having to reel the hose back in with your left hand while guiding the hose with your right, which is the opposite of what comes naturally to me. Not a big deal, but wish I would have know this before purchasing.
