Customer Questions & Answers

how do you remove the drawers once these are installed?

Asked by: Anonymous
Bill's answer that you have to unscrew the mounting brackets is WRONG! OMG!!! Just look for the black tabs on the sides of the slides, then pull off your drawer. They automatically lock when you reinstall the drawer. Reading the instructions really helps too.

Seem to be tight but measurements are correct, drawer is 1" less than opening. Would WD40 or something else help?

Asked by: Hopper21
No. Probably not square in the opening. Use a square along the face frame to make sure all is straight & a level to make sure level.

This says it's a 2 pack. Will one 2-pack hang two drawers (ie left and right for two drawers) or is it the left and right slides for one drawer?

Asked by: tess
There are 2 slides in a pack for hanging one drawer.

Does this glide (Liberty 22" Ball Bearing full ext. M/N D80622C) come with a rear extension mounting bracket?

I need to have a rear mounting braket to extend the glide 2" to the rear of the cabinet, and to secure the rear of the glide.

14 in. Full Extension Ball Bearing Side Mount Drawer Slide (1-Pair) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Smooth Drawer Slide I have used this type and brand of drawer slides on multiple drawers with great success and satisfaction. Aligning them in the center of the drawer sides makes them easy to install, as opposed to bottom or side mount rails that can give very little room to insert the screws. The ball bearings allow the drawer to slide smoothly. In a dusty environment (shop, garage, etc) if the slides start to "drag", just apply a little spray lubricant to the ball bearings to make them work like new. Just note, these slides require 1/2" of space between the outside of the drawer sides and the casing on both sides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product- much better than the cheaper slides-of course. Made the bottom pull out drawers a breeze to open. I bought these slides to replace a rather expensive drawer set that came with cheaper slides. The originals attached to the sides and were a nightmare to install without binding. Since my application was for a bottom drawer I merely attached these to the base of the drawer and the bottom of the cabinet. Easy slides now with the heavy liquids stored on the bottom drawer.

After a couple years of having these not work I finally replaced them with the original slides. Drawer would often jam slightly open. I tried adjusting them dozens of times with no luck. I have Kraftmaid cabinets.

Ive used them many times on many different projects. Most recently I used them for the drawers on my miter saw bench. They came out great. Aside from the fact that they function much smoother and quieter than European style drawer slides and they hold more weight. My favorite thing about these is that they do not allow me to slam the drawers, which I have a bad habit of when i am busy and in a rush. Also there is always plenty of these kept in stock in my local store so I dont have to order them These slides function smoothly and are easy to install. Most important thing when installing them is to make sure there is a consistent 1/2" space along the length of the drawer between the cabinet and the drawer itself to avoid them binding up. Quality control seems to be great, because I have never gotten a faulty drawer slide. They also hold up quite nicely. In my wood shop where saw dust is ever present and gets on everything it touches. These have not let me down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Value These glides are sturdy and reliable -- as well as relatively easy to install. I used 14 of them in a bank of shop drawers supporting heavy woodworking tools, and they glide effortlessly. My only complaint (and I have the same complaint of all competing products) is the included mounting screws. They are simply too small. I would purchase #8 x 1/2" pan head screws (from Home Depot, of course).
