I want to replace worn out slides on kitchen drawers. Can this product be used to retrofit the drawers?
Asked by: Rick
Rick, Thank you for your question. As long as the length of the slide fits the dimensions of the drawer, these will work as a replacement. Best, Customer Care Team

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for base cabinets I got one pair of these through the seeds program and put them in a shop cabinet for my miter saw. I liked them so much that I bought ten more. These are precision made, sturdy, easy to install and I have every reason to think they will out live me. They are in every way a match for the expensive European slides that I used to buy from a wholesaler when I was a full time professional in the cabinet making trade. I used one set to repair a broken kitchen cabinet drawer (and will be making sure to salvage that pair of slides when I demo the kitchen, soon, I hope). Not long after, I discovered one of the kids standing on the extended drawer in order to get to the cereal. Now I know why the old slides were broken...anyway, these slides stood the abuse, although I hope they wont have to again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't Hold Up About 3-4 months ago, we installed these on three kitchen drawers with the intent to eventually replace the slides on all the drawers. Two of the three are still working. However, the "soft close" feature has stopped working on the silverware drawer (the one which gets used most heavily). The ball bearings still give a nice, smooth glide, but since the slides no longer close properly, I find the draw about 1" ajar most of the time. Disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from For $20 it seems this is what you can expect I installed 5 sets of 24" one 22" pair and all 6 six operate the same way. Despite spending several hours after install to ensure the slides were all level and parallel to the drawers they all operate the same - far too stiff. I am 100% confident there was nothing wrong with my installation. The soft closing feature kicks in when the drawer is about 1 1/2" from being full closed so don't expect a drawer to retract on its own from the fully opened position - that is not what I expected. The main issue is all of the drawers are VERY stiff on opening as you have to overcome the inertia required to "cock" the soft close mechanism and spring that are pulled into place when the drawer is open. In the end I guess they are ok, since if you search enough on the internet you will see a lot of comments that simply say stay away from home store slides as the ones that really work (i.e. glide like they are on glass) cost $35 per pair or even much more. They don't 'glide' closed either you need to push them all the way until the self closing mechanism takes over near the very end. Given I was not going to spend more than $20 per drawer I guess this is the best you can get. As a suggestion operate the slides by hand before you install them and you will see what I am talking about. If you don't mind how stiff these are then go ahead and install, otherwise you may want to move on to something else. The mechanism is quite clever, and the quality of the overall product seems Ok (I have my fingers crossed that the plastic self closing pieces stand the test of time) , but my expectations for $20/drawer were much higher, these are not even close to some of the best you will find/fell in the store's kitchen display section.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Item Installed quickly and easily. Works effortlessly to both open and soft close

Rated 1 out of 5 by from extreamly disappointing We just installed this brand of slides in the entire new home we just completed. Only 2 of the drawers work the way they were meant to. First of all the drawers are very hard to open. Secondly the soft close feature doesn't work. I am overall disappointed and would NOT recommend these. I am going to replace all of the drawer slides and ask home depot if they could be returned even though they have no packaging & was told no. I am going to contact the manufacturer because this is unacceptable.
