Is this the same model #850304 sold at homedepot in 10 pack?

Also, when I install it, should I hammer the dowels in place then screw the hinge into the dowels or just hammer the assembly into place without taking dowels off first? The hinge comes with dowel attached to the hinge with screw.

Hinges are certainly a good value for price, but some pretty important drawbacks cannot allow me to recommend these hinges to anyone. First, it was unbelievable that the manufacturer provides a "blueprint" of necessary drilling rather that a cut out template! In the same wasted space they put their blueprint, they could have put a template.Such would have been far more practical and useful. Then, the offset for the door from the face frame of the cabinet when using these hinges is horrible looking - far too much space no matter how you try to adjust. Do yourself a favor and avoid these hinges as I will. If I could somehow return these things for a full refund, I would.

These were pretty easy to install and worked perfectly for my cabinets. They provided some basic instructions but it wasn't too hard to figure out at all without them.

First time installing concealed hinges and it couldn't have gone any smoother! These were surprisingly simple to install, even without a template or hinge jig. Really, they were that easy! Follow the directions on measurements, and you'll be good to go. Fully adjustable, so if your cabinet door is out of wack, you can make adjustments accordingly. I used these for regular style doors as well as lid style doors. Works great for both applications. Make sure to have a tape measure, 1 3/8" forstner bit, phillips screw driver, power drill and drill bits. How can one give these a bad review?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No plastic... YAY! Quality at 4 stars only because they aren't the high-dollar, over-priced, fancy-schmancy hinges. For the price - particularly in the 10 pack, the quality seems better than I expected... NO PLASTIC! Purchased to replace failing Blum-110 hinges, these mounted into the original door holes without modification using the original Blum screws. The frame only required one added hole. there are alignment tabs (just visible in the Home Depot photo) that set the depth for the frame mount, which makes installation nearly brainless. How much do I like them?... I'm buying another 10 pack to get rid of the not-yet-failed Blum hinges that remain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The hinges made the project work! I really wanted to make mdf doors for the kitchen in my daughter's condo as they have a nice clean look. The problem with mdf doors is that the hinge screws tend to pull out of the doors. These hinges provided plastic plugs which completely solved that problem. They are solid as a rock and were simple to install using the standard template. They are also two way adjustable so that the DIY'er can make the doors line up perfectly after the installation.

I normally use Blum hinges but opted for these as I needed them 'now'- at the time, and they were unusually cheap for 10 hinges. They went in cabinets I built for my shop, so I opted to save more than a few dollars. The instructions suggest buying the AlignRight template, but of course that was not available at Home Depot. That may not Liberty's fault, but if you install more than one I recommend using a template, or make your own. They are more similar to the Salice brand than the more expensive Blum. They close securely, have limited adjustability, and are a good value for the price. My first and main complaint with these hinges is the package should tell you right off you will need a 8mm bit if you intend to use the plastic mounting dowels. Obviously you own a 35mm bit if you buy this hinge, but not everyone owns a 8mm bit. At least the manufacturer allows you to remove the dowel and use the screw for mounting, some other brand hinges are almost if not impossible to remove the dowel. My other complaint is the instructions are misleading at times, in the diagram it shows a 3/8" measurement right above the screw/dowel hole - and the plastic fits snuggly in a 3/8" hole. However you must drill a 8mm for the dowels. Nor do the instructions give a measurement for the dowel hole from the edge of the door, it's only given for the on-center from the 35mm hole. Basically you need to remove the screw and position the hinge in the cup to get an accurate measurement. And do not assume a 1/2 overlay template by other manufacturers will work for this hinge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Option For The Money, But A Few Tradeoffs For the price of many hinges the 10-pack is a good deal. I had to install hinges for 50 doors in the house that we purchased and are doing a refurbishment. My wife wanted European hinges vs. the old exposed hinges. I bought a cheap drill press from Harbor Freight with work platform for less than $100 which made drilling all of those holes much easier. Also the 35mm forstner bit that the hinges require. They mount into the door with small screws and to the cabinet with 2 more screws on the cabinet frame. Easy as pie it was. Then a couple of oddities that after research are well known. First the gap between opposing doors is a bit larger than expected. You can adjust the hinges, but that isn't enough. I did use the plastic covers that hold the screws to the hinges in shipping. I cut them down until they shimmed out the doors so the gap was closed. The next was the hinge will push the door out from the flat surface of the cabinet frame. Only on the doors where you can easily see that edge is it a big deal After a while you probably won't notice it. Buy a few and try them to see if you can live with these two oddities. It wasn't a deal killer for me as they are easy to install and will save you a lot of money compared to most hinges
