What's the advantage of these instead of screwing the screws directly into the wood door panel ?

Answer:
These dowels keep the screws more anchored in meaning that as the door opens multiple times, it will not loosen as quickly with the dowel anchors. Keeps the hinge tightly in place.

Answer:
The “Six Way Adjustable” description for these hinges refers to their ability to adjust the position of the door forwards, backwards, left, right, up and down. Adjustment screws on the hinge are used for the forward, backward, left, and right adjustments while a slotted mounting hole allows for the vertical adjustment up and down. Unfortunately Liberty does not currently manufacture a restriction clip Read More

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Option For The Money, But A Few Tradeoffs For the price of many hinges the 10-pack is a good deal. I had to install hinges for 50 doors in the house that we purchased and are doing a refurbishment. My wife wanted European hinges vs. the old exposed hinges. I bought a cheap drill press from Harbor Freight with work platform for less than $100 which made drilling all of those holes much easier. Also the 35mm forstner bit that the hinges require. They mount into the door with small screws and to the cabinet with 2 more screws on the cabinet frame. Easy as pie it was. Then a couple of oddities that after research are well known. First the gap between opposing doors is a bit larger than expected. You can adjust the hinges, but that isn't enough. I did use the plastic covers that hold the screws to the hinges in shipping. I cut them down until they shimmed out the doors so the gap was closed. The next was the hinge will push the door out from the flat surface of the cabinet frame. Only on the doors where you can easily see that edge is it a big deal After a while you probably won't notice it. Buy a few and try them to see if you can live with these two oddities. It wasn't a deal killer for me as they are easy to install and will save you a lot of money compared to most hinges May 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The hinges made the project work! I really wanted to make mdf doors for the kitchen in my daughter's condo as they have a nice clean look. The problem with mdf doors is that the hinge screws tend to pull out of the doors. These hinges provided plastic plugs which completely solved that problem. They are solid as a rock and were simple to install using the standard template. They are also two way adjustable so that the DIY'er can make the doors line up perfectly after the installation. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 5 Star Hardware with 1 Star Installation The product is very inexpensive and worked out well. BUT the installation is a pain in the rear. The instructions are next to worthless and LibertyHardware.com support non-existent - so bad you can enter THEIR part number and come with zero search results. And when you do find it you get the same near worthless instructions. Hey Liberty ever hear of a V-I-D-E-O? While I would recommend the product to someone with either experience or MacGyver like perseverance ,If you do buy it, also buy the plastic installation template. Do drill the large hole but hold off on the 2 smaller ones until you can use the actual hardware as a guide (I removed the plastic inserts/mounts - in the wood I used [oak[, they aren't needed). In my hands there was some give in the template. Lastly I would NOT recommend it if you have neither. February 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No plastic... YAY! Quality at 4 stars only because they aren't the high-dollar, over-priced, fancy-schmancy hinges. For the price - particularly in the 10 pack, the quality seems better than I expected... NO PLASTIC! Purchased to replace failing Blum-110 hinges, these mounted into the original door holes without modification using the original Blum screws. The frame only required one added hole. there are alignment tabs (just visible in the Home Depot photo) that set the depth for the frame mount, which makes installation nearly brainless. How much do I like them?... I'm buying another 10 pack to get rid of the not-yet-failed Blum hinges that remain. August 24, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Experience Needed We are happy with the end results but getting to the "end result" was quite difficult. The instructions were much to vague, especially for someone with no experience with hanging cabinets and cabinet hardware, plus these hinges are not a good value in my opinion for all the labor involved. If I had to do it over again I would have replaced my old hinges with the same style I had but in a different finish. June 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality with reasonable price I find these hinges to be durable and easy to install in the cabinets I built. March 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Economical and effective Simple straight forward to install and the hinge works properly, it is adjustable and it won't break the bank, especially if you have 20 or 30 to install. Nobody thinks of a concealed hinge again after it is installed( properly). You can really run the price of a project up with high priced hinges and drawer slides March 13, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not impressed. Very difficult to hang doors w/o a helper. Because it connects to the frame with a single screw, you will likely need a helper to position while attaching the door to the frame. I liked the the other hinges they used to carry with the two-screwhole frame connection. June 30, 2012
