If this particular one does not work, do you have one that does work with larger handles? I need a template for both doors and drawers.

Answer:
No. You'd have to make your own or find another template. I suggest a sturdy but thin piece of cardboard. Stick the screws into the thing and press onto the cardboard to mark the spot. Put a hole in the cardboard and then screw through the hole to ensure you have it in the right place. Do not drill through the hole. Use it only for marking. With a tape measure and level, you should be ok.

If you’re having trouble finding a template, you could always just make your own,
Place the handle on a regular piece of paper. Trace the handle connection (where the handle touches the paper) and the center of that circle is going to be the place where you drill.
Find the center of the cabinet and measure 2.5 inches from the center on both sides and draw a line. Now, line up your paper with the cabinet, and you’ve got a throw-away template. Read Less

Answer:
No. It does both left and right. You just flip it over to do the other side of the cabinet. I used it to do 37 pulls total and they all came out pretty well. Take your time marking and take your time starting the drill hole and you'll do fine.

Answer:
Yes, the included drill bit was satisfactory. Most cabinet drawer fronts and doors are either particle board, plywood, or hardwood and are easy to drill. It wouldn't hurt to get another in case it breaks or becomes dull.

Answer:
No. The included bit is grabby and will pull you off of your mark. It will also chip the cabinet or door front. Use your own sharp bits. Make your first hole with a 1/8' bit and follow up with a 3/16". Use painters tape for marking holes.

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 55 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cabinet handle template guarantees quick, accurate and consistent results. This template allowed us to easily mount our handles on all of our kitchen cabinets and drawer fronts. It was a quick and easy process. Without this template you would have to carefully measure each drawer and cabinet. This template allowed us to do this job quickly and accurately. The carpenter was going to charge us a separate charge to install the handles. We saved a lot of money by doing it ourselves. One caution on using this template: Be sure to use a marker or masking tape to identify the correct hole for your application, otherwise you could accidentally use the wrong hole. You only get one chance to do it right. May 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not work on dark cabinets! These do not work on dark cabinets. The templates are a translucent dark gray the measurement markings cannot be read easily. They may work on light or white colored cabinets. They should make these in clear so that could be used on any colored cabinet. I am going to return them. July 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A nice helper; made pull installation simple and with good alignment Using this as a mounting template, I installed a kitchen and bathroom of these pulls (37 overall) and the alignment was spot on. Couldn't ask much more than that. April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good tool Did a ok job A little modifying to the tool helped out a lot June 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Must have for cabinet hardware installation I was planning on making a fixture to accomplish this myself. After speaking with a Home Depot associate in the cabinet department, he showed me this tool. It made the job so much easier and every door knob and drawer handle is spot on. March 15, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very helpful, but... Wasn't always able to get this tool to work, depending upon the way the cabinet door is constructed. Only one choice of placement for the 3-3/4 in. center-to-center installation required. February 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Must Have Template for Cabinet Hardware The Liberty Cabinet and Drawer Pull Installation Templates are made of translucent plastic with measurement impressions embossed on it. A simple tool that makes it easy to measure for placement of kitchen/bathroom hardware. It saved time and aggravation in preventing mistakes that could have happened if each piece had to be measured. Measure the width of the drawer panel, divide in half, place the template over the center mark, decide from the many options you have for the size of the pull or knob you're installing, to your desired height. The door template works under the same principle as the drawer template, with numerous choices of placement for your hardware. Included with the templates is a 3/16th“ basic drill bit, more than adequate for the amount of drilling needed. Well worth the price! April 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Templates help but included drill bit is grabby I used these templates installing my pulls and knobs. I used a fine Sharpy to mark a spot through the template hole. Put painters tape on your cabinet door to mark on. Check your marks twice. Use a 1/8" bit for your guide hole and then follow up with a 3/16'. That worked well for me. Do not use the 3/16" bit included in the package. I found it to be grabby pulling you off of your mark and chipping the door front. If you drill through the template you will take some plastic with you rendering future work not accurate. The directions have you marking through the template as I did. Use sharp bits. If you mess up with cabinet side by side pulls or knobs that are parallel to each other you can oversize your hole a bit and make adjustments before the final snug down. Plastic could be sturdier.
