Rated 4 out of 5Â by Grandmaof3 heavy Duty easy to put together! Great Customer service!
We ordered this for my husbands 88 yr Mother for Christmas. Gardening is her favorite pass time , until she rolls up her hose that was hard to turn and was always kinking. After Christmas, we pulled it out of the box, and found it to be bent ,and no accessories. We called the company and was very accommodating, and willing to send us what we needed. We decided to return the whole thing to Home depot and ordered a new one. This one arrived promptly, and appears to be in Good shape. She has siding and cement in the back so to make it easier for her we raised it up on cement block so she didn't have to bend over to roll it up. We used Epoxy Glue that we found in the cement area at Home Depot to secure it. Epoxy set up and within 30 minutes Mom was out trying out her new wheel! So far She absolutely loves it and the little holes are perfect for her sprinklers and sprayers .

After buying several inexpensive hose reels we decided to purchase metal ones that will last. These are such excellent quality I would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Mark Solid hose reel but needed minor adjustment
Solid, well constructed hose reel. Arm was bent when I received it but I didn't notice it until I attached the handle. At that point the nut that holds the handle to the arm would hit the frame which would not allow the reel to unwind. Easy fix to bend the arm out about 1" and now it works just fine.
This replaces the plastic boxes that I have been replacing every couple of years and I expect this to last much much longer.
This reel does need to be firmly attached to something and since I don't like bolting anything to the house I used scrap pier blocks and pressure treated wood to build a heavy base as you can see in the pictures.
I have a heavy-duty 100' hose on it now and it easily reels it up even when its fully stretched out. Best hose reel I have bought so far (over 20+ years I have tried them all).
The best part is all of the pieces are heavy gauge metal and the fittings are heavy-duty brass. The only plastic is the handle but that is designed to spin loosely around the metal core which is bolted to the arm. Feels strong and is comfortable to use.
I will be buying another one for the front yard.
I would have given this reel 5 stars if the arm wasn't bent.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Elad This Product Has Great Features, AFTER YOU FIX THE PROBLEM`S
Arrived "Double Packed" in two, intact, thickwall carboard cases. The item was bent upon removing from the cases, it was hit by (in my opinion) a fork lift! The only way to fix the base plate was to "rebend" the oposite way. The only way was to completely disassemble the reel from the base and have the plate bent back by a heavy duty "Brake Press"! Everyone has one of these, right? After bending the base back level, the rest of the problems had to be corrected. The Hose Reel axis had been bent also on each side of the hose reel in the base, To correct, place a long pipe, of the proper diameter and about 3' long, place over one end and bent back to a level position, one at a time, making the the shafts parallel to the hose reel core, straight inline with each side. Alternative is to use the fitting use to mount the hose to the one side of the base and a 18" pipe wrench. Re-assemble the Hose Reel in the frame to check the level of the reel to the base bottom. All of this requires protecting the paint, this is steel and will rust if the paint is scratched. At this point, you will notice that the one end is rubbing on the base, metal to metal, you need to add a "Poly Plastic Washer to the inside to prevent this or you will scratch the paint with the results being "Rust". I used an old cutting board about a 1/4" thick and using a drill, I formed a cone to fit around the metal cone, this must be done or you still have metal to metal and rust. This If the item had come in "Perfect Condition", properly designed, it would have been easy to mount to a concrete wall with Tapcon, Poor design. I did all this, about 3hr's of work (I had the tools). Was it worth it, for me yes and no, we live in Florida, plastic wall mounted hose reels do not last long in the sun and heat. One more important point, the "Water Hose" attachment needs to be "modified", use two "Goose necks" to make a 90 degree angle to attach the hose to the hose reel, otherwise you will kink the hose, result, little or no water. I've order the Stainless Steel item to see how it is constructed and whether I want these for the new house. I'll let you know how that "works out"! SS one is 3X the cost of this hose reel. Although I would not recommend this item, it is still going to be better than replacing the same cost plastic hose reels in Florida every three to five years. Should you order one, maybe you'll have better luck than the two I've had to correct, fix and redesign. Mine's been up for 30 days and seems to be holding up well. If you have the abillity, resources and tools; GO FOR IT! Otherwise, NO.
