Customer Questions & Answers

Is this unit use a regular 110 outlet ?

Asked by: Youngster
Yes, regular use outlet works fine, must be the three prong type though, not two. Also do not have anything else plugged into the same outlet. You should not need to rewire your home electric box

how cold of enviroment can I put this in. I live in Utah and want to come home from skiing and sit in my hot tub while its snowing.

The average low during winter is around 25 degrees at night and around 40 during the day.
Asked by: Skidaddy
I live in the south where the weather is not too cold most of the winter. However, I made the mistake of going away overnight and left the cover folded back and totally exposed to 25 degree air letting the water get down to 81 degrees. I closed the cover when I got home five hours ago and the outside air temperature is still 25 degrees. However, the water in the hot tub is now up to 89 degrees which is not much of an increase but considering how cold it is outside it is still heating at about 1.5 or so degrees an hour. The overnight temperature is forecast to be around 18 and I plan to be in the tub in the morning. Yes, it takes longer to heat in the colder air but I am sure once it reaches 102, which is where I keep the temperature of the hot tub, it will maintain the temperature with no problem with the cover on. Last week I got in the tub with the outside air at 23 degrees and the water temp dropped about 2 degrees in an hour which is about my maximum at 102 degrees. We are very, very happy so far with the hot tub.

Will the delivery people remove my old hot tub?

Asked by: Rt
That depends on the delivery people/person. One person brought my hot tub and placed in in my garage for me. I told him I would give him $50 if he would help me unpack it and set in on back porch. He also had a nice low dolly to move it with. It took us about 30 minutes; he was happy and so was I. I assure you it was worth 50 bucks to me as the next step was gathering up a few neighbors to help and who knows when that would have been. And even then I would have been out some beer to just ask and see what they say.

Bermuda Rock Solid Series 4-Person 12-Jet Plug and Play Spa Includes Free Delivery is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 92.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from JETS NOT VERY POWERFUL It was an easy install and you just plug it in so that part is good. It looks good and it came with a locking cover. The jets are not as powerful as my last spa and most of the jets are not adjustable. I like jets that you can move up or down so you have to position your body on the jets where you want them to hit you instead of turning the jets to where you want them to hit you. My delivery order said delivery to the door. The delivery persons order said curbside. I had to pay them $20 to deliver to my door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic and Easy Great smaller spa. Extremely easy to setup and maintain. Maintains heat just fine and plugs into a 110v outlet! Have had for about 3 weeks and so far no problems. If you are a renter and might be moving around this is the spa for you given it's low dry weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bang for the Buck After scouring the local market, I finally decided to go with this hot tub and couldn't be happier thus far. The product is exactly as described and the fit and finish are up to par with more expensive models. The added value package is a must and enhances the overall spa. The only suggestions for improvement would be: 1) Spa should come with a chemical starter kit and guide (helpful to newbies like me), 2) Cover latches should be installed at the factory (you have to line up the cover and attach the provided hardware yourself and there are no guide markings), 3) Would be nice if it came on a temporary wheeled pallet as it is very heavy (350lbs) and hard to move without at least four strong people. Overall, very happy with my first spa!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I have had very expensive spas and cheap ones. I wanted something a little smaller that would perform as good as a high end spa. This spa is all I was looking for. I have had it a month now, and has only added $25-30 to elec. bill. When I purchased this spa, HomeDepot had a free upgrade about $1400 worth of extras. You must get it with the ozoneater. Makes the spa virtually maintenace free. The jets have a powerful out put. And I love the water fall. I could go on forever about what I like. Very comfortable & sturdy, must have is the thick insulated cover, You will have to hire someone to move the spa to desired location. Curbside delivery is just that. It took about 2 weeks to come, filled it up and plugged it in. 24hrs later It was heated and ready to use. It's like being on vacation everyday with this beautiful spa on my back patio! Fits 2-3 people very comfortably love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from decent value Pro's- I was able to move it myself when it was delivered (on its side, which I'm told is a huge NO) and get it into the place I wanted. Plugs into a regular 110 outlet which was a big selling point for us. I had an outside outlet installed anyway so it would have a dedicated one with a weather cover, glad I did bc the plug is really large and may not fit well at just any outlet. It filled pretty fast and warmed up to a comfortable soaking temperature in less than 24 hours. it's easy to drain and clean, other than a bit of residual water at the bottom you need to scoop out when cleaning. Small enough that we were ale to level a ground area, set down paver stones and put it right on top (we rent, couldn't install a cement slab). Its not an energy hog, either. and maintains a good steady temperature even in winter, we use ours all four seasons. Cons- filters need to be replaced fairly frequently or you get really poor performance- and these jets aren't the strongest out there to start with. problem is that the only place to get a filter is ordering through home depot. you can't find them anywhere else, and they aren't carried in store (a BIG problem since shipping can take weeks) hey HD, you listening? if you're gong to sell the spas, have the decency to stock the most necessary regularly replaced part. if you're in a hard water area, the jets get weak over a few months. you'll need to empty it, clean them out with a hard water build up product, run a hose in to fill maybe a quarter of the way and leave it running into the filter area, then quickly turn it on and off a few times to get the pump to pull in some water and blast out the cleaner. drain again to get the solution out, refill. also make sure your purchase comes with its first filter so you can actually use it immediately- ours was advertised as coming with it, cover and steps (package) but it didnt). advertised as a four person- works great for two, three *can fit, I wouldnt push four unless you are all very small folks. overall its not a decent product. its not the best or strongest but for the price its a reasonable value and it meets our needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great hot tub! We purchased this hot tub in September. Pros- Heats up to a hot temperature, is low-maintenence, nice controls and lights, interesting waterfall feature and is the perfect size for two but also fits friends. Cons- The company took a VERY long time to ship (4 weeks purchase to house), and did not provide hardly any information about when it would arrive- but you have to take off to be there when it does because they won't put it in place for you. The people who I spoke to on the phone put in very little effort; delivery was delayed for 3 days because someone didn't return a voicemail for that long to confirm purchase. Also, I tried asking the company what chemicals if any the hot tub would come with (answer- none) and which we should purchase so we could have it running ASAP, and she had NO idea, nor could she put me in contact with anyone who knew anything about the chemicals needed. We had to wait till after the tub and manual were here to see what we needed to purchase; if it's your first time buying a hot tub like us, I recommend just going to Home Depot's pool section and talking to someone, they were much more helpful! ALSO- to satisfy the requirements for warranty, we had to have an extra GFI run to the back yard to plug it in directly, which took another week (while it's a "plug 'n play", using an extension cord is prohibited). The plug runs from the "waterfall" side, and is really short- if it's running around the tub it only goes about 4' past. We had to get a GFI put into the proper spot for about $250 extra. Although the delivery/installation was a trial, the hot tub itself has been well worth it! We are out there several times a week and the lights and jets are wonderful. I think for us it has really been worth it and I would recommend this product to others- no need to buy a more expensive spa, this one is perfect!
